Celebrating his 10th anniversary on adidas, Dennis Busenitz visited his hometown Munich and the spots where he started skating. Edit: Janosch Pugnaghi Filmed: Pierre Minhondo Torsten Frank Music: Keshvara
Growing up this guy was my idol. Still is haha, but unmatched style. I wanted to try to skate just as fast as him. I truly believe he’s one of the best to ever grace a board.
Dennis Busenitz could have gotten SOTY if he wanted to. The fact that he didn't put in the huge amount of work to stockpile and cookie cutter his footage is a testament to the kind of skater he is. Naturally talented and naturally enjoys it, but doesn't let the industry control him. Busenitz has always been one of my favorite skaters to watch. Raw, powerful, fast, steezy. Doesn't really get much better unless you care about megaramps and shit...
Germanator that’s what we used to call him back then in Wichita ks skating boarderline skatepark his skating was so amazing watching flow through the park what really stuck out to me when he would do this big 3 flips bank to flat was crazy! Man, this was About 20 years ago way before he got on real and adidas! I skated with him in Lawrence ks a few times to back then dude was ahead of his time he would do these crazy lines were he would go super fast do nollie flips nose slide knee high ledges than he would go around and nollie flip the 9 stairs first try shit was mind blowing watching him skate! Still one of my favorites love seeing him just Ollie and cursing dude got styles for days!
Man so many memories. I used to skate this park every day when I lived in Munich 24-25 years ago. There was this guy with glasses I believe his name was Stephan Lehnart and this other really good skater his first name was Sasha something. Another guy ... well he was a real jerk actually Henner Penner (spelled with the umlaut), who actually pooped on top of the pyramid one day ... everyone hated Henner Penner. One day the Birtdhouse team showed up and I missed them, because I decided to stay home ... my brother Shirko told me Toni Hawk was there with Jason Lee and a few others. There was another little concrete skatepark that looked very similar to this one in Hirsch Garten I remember. Good memories ... Stephan Lehnart opened a skate shop called "Boarders" when I was still in Munich. There was a freestyle contest I won and to get my 1st place price I had to go to Boarders to pick a deck. Stepahn was really bummed out that I picked a deck he really didn't want to give out but I told him that's the one I want. Anyway ... great memories of carefree skate life back in the day!!!
We were skating our shitty little park once. 3 dudes Henner Penner-Style came up and one of them just took a giant shit on the main ramp, while everybody else was watching. Good memories.
Ich will nichts sagen ich versuche seit Jahren zu skaten in .München aber es wird nicht angesehen und auch nicht unterstützt die Parks die es gibt werden von werden von den Scooter kids beherscht
