Was browsing through a rolling stone list of the best drummers of all time (strictly to disagree with those guys) and stumbled across Dennis Chambers. I already knew John from his various projects. Used to wear out his Extrapolation album and Hymn to Him is one of my go-to fusion songs, but this insane. Baltimore native out here just shredded the set. I don't think I've ever heard a drummer play like this in my life and I've consumed an obscene amount of music. What a truly awesome musician deserving of praise and acclaim. Sick solo.
HAVE ANYONE NOTICED - all Dennish solos were in the same one rythm groove - he was perfectly coming bakc each time - from all those crazy moments, WTF!!!
John McLaughlin was Jimmy Page’s guitar teacher, and Page worshipped him. John only played with the BEST musicians, and Dennis clearly meets that criteria!
