The performance is so damn good. The way he manages to make "there's really nowhere to go" seem almost apologetic is just so wonderfully creepy. Howerton's performance as Dennis is a master class in making such a thoroughly unpleasant character so enjoyable to watch. I hope that he doesn't leave as has been speculated or that if he does, the show stops.
Oh the implication still works. It just has to be your own boat. There were a lot of other people on that cruise so the young woman sensed she had a chance to get help.

Glenn Howerton is the greatest actor on the show. This amazing scene proves this perfectly. The way he says "there's really nowhere to go" shoes that he has true potential to be in so much more
I would LOVE to see Glenn get a role that would let him be a character like this for a feature film. We get to see little nuggets of brilliant acting like this, but i'd like to see what he could do just going all out.
@KeoneArt i mean, it is kind of weird how comedy has progressed. if you showed an episode of always sunny to someone who lived 75 years ago, they would probably be horrified
@@fruitypeebils 75 years ago there were places in America where people raped and it wasn't even looked at as a serious offense nevertheless we are moving closer to what you are describing nowadays everyone freaks out about everything and always sunny is really in a class of its own

so in a standard sitcom you would have at least one 'straight character' in the main group to flash out the other characters. someone like jim, ross, ted, leonard.. In this show however, it's like the whole group is overly narcissistic.. and it works somehow. the gang vs. the world.
Gotta love that after how ever many seasons, you see Dennis put the Implication into action and it's about as non-sexy and terrifying as you thought it would be. She's not in any danger, however!
Any adaptations of The Joker from here on will always fall short. Heath played it to perfection and will never be topped. Anyone who tries will just look foolish.
