It's true, I'm from England, and grounding his words into reality, I can totally say I expect the government to take care of me. I'm afraid without the government. Who will pay for my healthcare, who will pay for my parents if I have to put them in a home, who will pay for my kids education, who will pay my pension, who will support me if I am out of work? The government will. It is really reassuring. And it makes me a much worse person. Prager is right about all this, it's not just hyperbole. It's dead real and it is insidious and I sure hope America doesn't descend to what we have made here.. Maybe you don't realise but once you take that path, you can't go back. Once the weak character of expecting something from nothing slips in, it takes over your life, and your kids lives, then your kids kids will grow up that way too. They will model their parents. Wife held down a full time job and I worked an 8 hr shift laying carpet in the day & an 8 hr shift at night as Quality Control mgr for Tyson foods at night. Definitely burning the candle at both ends. I am 72 now and still burning the candle at both ends 70+ hrs per week now building hospital surgery rooms all over the US & the Islands. I will retire when I die. Sometimes I take an Ibuprofen, but no other medication. 6ft tall & 300lbs. I don't expect others to work these kind of hours. We worked everyday like this on the farm, only the job description has changed.

Darth Utah 66 that is per capita. Alaska has a relatively low population, so you will obviously be in the top ten. But if you look in 2015, Alaska had only 59 deaths from homicide. That is very low compared to a state like Michigan or Illinois.
I grew up in Mexico for 11 years and you'll be hard pressed to find any brown person in Mexico or in the States who does not value hard work or is Politically Correct. That is exclusively a upper middleclass white liberal outlook. Political correctness has a way of killing humor and humor is often times all people have to stay happy even in poverty while eating milk-soaked tortillas. A hard life of working the fields under the sun, herding cattle and under strict discipline gives one a shit-ton of character that participation trophies only erodes. Sure, one comes to resent their parents but you come to realize they mean well and do respect the hell out of them later in life. What's more interesting? Bad words and being called a name just roll off you like water dropplet on a leaf so no safe spaces are needed. My two Chinese friends (not related to each other) feel virtually disowned by their patents because they did not get a degree in engineering, medicine or law. Hard work is far from a white American ideology only. I wish I could also call white conservatives racist like many on the left do but I have yet to meet one even in California but I'm certain there are some around and especially in the deep south. This is true just like I know Mexicans can be racist toward Asians, blacks and Arabs and that no culture is perfect. It was white evangelicals who mentored and tutored me all throughout my university years and now I'm supposed to throw them under the bus? Just like many who also voted for Trump, I too voted for Obama once to "cheer for the underdog" before he bought into identity politics. Praeger has some fair points here. As a liberal this has given me a lot to think about. I've always hated the self-esteem movement, and I'm feeling many of it's negative effects as I grow into my early twenties. A level playing field is one thing, but an environment where equal rewards are given regardless of the results you produce is a poisonous environment. And I agree that equality for the sake of equality is silly. That being said, however, this is dangerous rhetoric. This can easily be used as ammunition against the women, LBGT folk and people of color who face a distinct and very real lack of equality in America. There are too many people in america who are denied equality and that needs to change. Also everything Praeger says about global warming is, frankly, nonsense and denies real science. Global warming and Islamic extremism alike are very real problems and I don't see why we can't fight both. This has given me a lot to think about and although I disagree with a lot of Praeger's points I'm am very glad I saw this video. It's always refreshing to hear views which conflict with my own.

I cannot believe what our society has done to these kids. When I graduated from high school in 1977 I could have stayed on my parents' insurance policy until I was 23 because I was enrolled in college, HOWEVER, I wanted to be independent! I was lucky at the time because I got a retail job part-time that had insurance benefits; I don't believe such an animal exists today. With that being said, I had that job in Bakersfield, I drove 120 miles both ways to go to a business college in Orange County. I got a job doing runway modeling and that was enough to pay for my school for 6 years, my transportation costs, and part-time lodging while in Orange County. So, two part-time jobs, 240 miles round trip and this went on for 6 years. I had a marvelous time. I feel very sorry for the kids these days.
My then 17 year old was so worried he was costing me money for his healthcare. When he joined the Airforce he proudly told me ..I'm all covered by my job mom, thank you.
I had my own Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance at 19. I worked for pennies, but got my own healthcare. We need to emphasize independence in our children and not "self esteem". Also...I wish this guy would run for president... seriously!

Yeah, I have been a conservative liberatarian for most of my life. I've voted republican . I respect different cultures, and find beauty in all races. I believe to everyone's right to practice what ever religion they want. Ive been to numerous republican conventions and Id say about 95 % of the republicans I have spoken with have the same views as me. We DON'T want war. We want PEACE. I don't understand why liberals think we do. If we were so violent and blood thirsty, then why is it that LIBERALS are the ones at OUR rallies yelling at us, getting in our faces, insulting us, provoking us and blocking exits? The rattlesnakes are the ones taking advantage of the way liberals and democrats think. And disguising them selves as victims. Conservatives know this. This is why so many of them are desperate for a republican president like Trump. Tough, blunt and doesn't back down. To protect us. We do not want to end up like Germany and Sweden. We don't want to worry that our religion offends people so we have to hide it. I've had the exact same feelings, Trump has told the snake story so he knows what's going on, I pray every day for him to be strong enough to fight this battle. Anyway , I feel the same about everyone being free to express their religion or beliefs, we used to be that way, it is what makes America special. The LGBT community thinks we're attacking them because we don't believe in their way of life, why can't everyone just live and let live anymore, we got along better when we respected each others beliefs. Obama changed that, he started attacking Christians and trying to force them to go against their beliefs and made everyone believe we're evil. He even turned the black community against white people by constantly bringing up Jim Crow and calling conservatives racists just because we don't want open borders and want people to come here legally so we can keep out bad people. What is wrong with that ??? Being a Christian I believe in helping our fellow man in need but I admit I'm scared that our country is bring destroyed from within and if we don't get a handle on illegal immigration were doomed like Venezuela, does that make me a bad person, I just don't know.

Back in the day, kids weren't allowed to question anything whatsoever. The teacher was law and what the teacher said was always true. No room for questioning. Like the alternative is any better.

I agree with everything that Denis Prager said but I do not agree with the way he's bashing western Europe. Because both the US and western Europe contributed to this insanity. Even left wing Canada comes with dangerous ideas that everyone should stay away from. I was in a weird place. I knew my ideas lined up with conservative and I identified as one but I couldn't articulate my random thoughts into something real. Prager U helped me with that and I could finally speak my mind. Thank you, Prager U, for giving me a voice when I couldn't find one myself.

I read the charter of Fundamental Rights and while it does say that workers shall have paid leave it says nothing about where. Is he ignorant or was this an old version of the charter?
Prager isn't necessarily wrong but American "conservatives" have done alot to increase the power and scope of the state in the last thirty+ years. Republicans like Ron Paul who want to limit government are seen as loonies by "mainstream" Republicans. And I find it ironic that Prager would argue against a welfare state but at the same time support the US continuing to give US tax payer money to Israel, which amounts to welfare for an entire nation.

Brilliant common sense. Growing up on a farm, I came to every one of these conclusions by the time I was 16, just by observation. First, one has to trust your intuition based on what you see in the world and stop listening to media propaganda. After 30 more years spent traveling and working around the world with an MD degree, everything I see and read only confirms what seemed intuitively obvious as a child.

Well, we are all bombarded with leftist propaganda practically 24/7. So one must recognize it for what it is, avoid the pesty irritation as much as possible, and learn to shut it out, even though it's pretty much in your face. Even conservative radio stations play endless "Ad Agency" government ads telling us to brush our teeth, sign up for food stamps, be a good government dependent, etc. It's practically Goebbels-like in the methods used to indoctrinate the undiscerning masses.
