He most likely was already drinking around this time but with years Alcohol got better of him and completely consumed him. But apparently he is pretty sober now but those are just rumors so I can't say for sure.
The only real bad seeds on the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons were Bill Laimbeer and Isaiah Thomas--on and off the court. The rest of the team was rugged on the court, but off the court they were/are decent people.
