Even if the game is a giant trash, I'm really impressed by the Mode 7 usage on the bosses. Keep in mind that everything sharing the same scanline as Mode 7 needs to be made out of sprites and background colors. They did a awesome job hidding this.
That line made me happy. Like, despite doing AVGN for almost a decade and a half, James still keeps it classic. “AAAAAASS” has been a meme between me and my bro since we were kids because of him.
@@FlyingDuckMan360 By stabbing it with a switchblade from over the picket fence. Just a homeless guy getting nutrients any way he can. Probably the best antagonist ever in my opinion.
This is not a walkthrough, more like a boss rush , Avgn said there's 20 levels , where in this video , did you see the "walkthrough" for said 20 levels , or am I missing something.
I hope you're prepared for all the AVGN and Game Grumps references. Heck, I remember when you did some Jojo games. You must have gotten loads of Jojokes then.
Literally just saw the Angry Video Game Nerd review, and then this turns up! Not complaining though! Love Shadowserg's videos! He always finds some obscure game I've never heard of!
So many thoughts on this game (but I'll only share a few): 1. Why do the first three enemies either come at you or go away from you after you defeat them? 2. Why is a DW look like from Arthur tied to a tree? 3. Mr. Wilson looks so burdened, like he could give zero cares about these kids, (and is that a baby that DW is holding in her arms?)
That D.W. lookalike is actually Margaret Wade, a central Dennis the Menace character. Amy Sakasitz portrayed her in the 1993 movie. That baby she is holding is her doll, Louise, which is an antique that gets stolen by Switchblade Sam.
The first boss literally looks like a phone zombie. Like she’s talked herself to Death on the phone. I mean after all, that’s what that yellow thing she’s holding looks like; a telephone.
I'm surprised James Rolfe didn't go all this kinda reminds me of kirbys dream land and kirbys adventure where the first boss just has aerial projectiles and the boss basically stays in one place lol
My name is Mr. Wilson and I'm here to say, I'm gonna smack your ass in a major way. What are you doing in my basement? Get outta here! GET OUTTA HERE! Saw the notification and this is the first thing that popped into my head, naturally.
No recuerdo que en la pelicula hubiera una escena de acción de Daniel peleando contra una chica en una hamaca... Será que este juego se basó en escenas descartadas?
Well of course the British are well known for scary ass shit considering ocean is a British video game company who made Dennis the menace for the super Nintendo
@@rzone317 I'm glad you agree my friend because this is the scariest fucking game I've ever seen in my life, and I've played alot of scary fucking games
4:16 Is this, by any chance, the father of video game jumpscares? Because at the time of this game's release, there were no other jumpscares in games that used jump/fly-at-camera technique. I mean, just look at that defeated face, and how that fish flies at you when defeated. Besides, only Mode 7 would allow for this type of stuff.
What's the deal with Betty Sue Dubroski and Coach Beeferman? Their names sound like they might have been some minor roles in the movie, but I can't find anything on wiki. So are they completely made up just for this game, eh?
broke: You remember this game from the AVGN review Woke: You remember this game from when the Game Grumps played it years ago. Also wow did this game go hard on the mode seven.
