The wrong lyrics don't change whether it is karaoke or not. Sure, that can be laziness but regardless is it still a karaoke. Karaokes don't necessarily all need to include synced lyrics either. If you search for what karaoke means, it is just a song without vocals, which allows other people to sing to it over the original track. The Google definition also says: _A form of entertainment, offered typically by bars and clubs, in which people take turns to sing popular songs into a microphone over pre-recorded backing tracks._ So just because lyrics aren't synced doesn't mean it isn't a karaoke. Presumably, people should know when to sing anyway according to the beats and instruments.
