I have always loved the Pretzel Logic Album that has The Dan's "East St. Louis Toodle-Oo" and I'm smiling at the story behind the ending of this tune with the classic Gong! I just played this yesterday and forever now I'll be smiling as I envision Roger going above and beyond what other music producers would do for their Bands! Classic Dan Yore! So I just went down a rabbit hole of Steely Dan stuff after watching Rick Beato's video talking about their sound changing over their recording career, which I always found interesting, they really had multiple signature 'steely dan' sounds over their career. Anyway, I just found out about that lost Second Arrangement recordings and it led me here to your channel. Thanks for the awesome content and session stories, I was born in the mid 80s so I wasn't really around during their prime, but the older I get the more I realize how incredible all the guys that had a part in making Steely Dan are.

Someone should ask Denny about how in Ad that brought Don And Walt to (Hickstown i believe) mentioned how he didnt want any jerks or something ....I think Denny saw their talent and didnt care if they were jerks...or maybe they were actually gentlemen and not sociopaths as i thiink someone in JATA called them
