Coach Gibbs is one of those leaders that knows how to get the most out of people. He did it in football and he's doing it in racing. He would be a great guy to work for.

@@jrracingteam1732 that’s a fair point. I’ve heard that is exactly the reason why Stewart left. My point though was that Gibbs has only had 2 real “winners” when it comes to Championships and he let one of them go last year presumably to make room for his Grandson (which I kind of understand). But why continue to spend money on a driver that can’t seem to hit the mark?

@jonathangardner1 sponsorships. Sadly you can have a junk driver in nascar now if the sponsorship fits. Denny has been good but but never can seal the deal. He NEEDS to find something other then what he is doing for Phoenix or something.

I must admit, I didn’t think JGR would sign Denny to a contract extension. To me it has been a sponsorship and cash flow issue in signing (not signing) Kyle B and Denny H. That question has been answered now. They signed DH and they didn’t or couldn’t sign KB. #11 will be a solid contender for years to come. Congratulations Denny.

This is great to put the pundits to sleep. Coach is a one of a kind guy. I fell in love with him when he came to Washington to coach my Redskins and I'd walk through fire if he told me I'd be OK doing it. Denny, at 42, you're done improving the basics. Embrace it with passion

We talk about it a lot in other sports with stars moving around, but I think it’s super important to JG and Denny that he’s in the #11 from start to finish in his career. We’ll see if he races full time for 23XI down the line

@@jamescraig4222 I'm not a fan of how Championships are won currently. It all comes down to once track, one of the shortest races of the year. Every driver has a track they struggle at... what if that track they struggle at is to crown the championship? doesn't make much sense to me, yes you have to get to the champ four, but it should be more than just one race at a specific track. The only thing Denny hasn't accomplished yet is the Brickyard (which they currently don't run and has blew a tire while leading with under 10 to go, and a championship that he would have won in 2019 but his team put too big of a piece of tape over the grill. Not making excuses... just pointing out facts here. Still a hall of fame career that started off with success and never backed off.

Good for Denny. But its still a raw deal that they let K Busch walk for Ty Gibbs. When they could have put Ty Gibbs in Truex car instead of Briscoe…And spare me the “no sponsorship tears”. Even with a Black Primered 18 car, after a few wins with K Busch, sponsors would have lined up. The same they line up for Larson.

M&m dropped out. There is 0 worry about sponsorships for the 11 team. And the contract was done a LONG time ago, denny said that him self. It was Toyota not finding the time to make the deal either 23xi.
