Denny Illet returns with a very worthy follow up to his original (and hugely popular) Organ Blues Sessions!
This pack adds Jazzy twists to classic Blues progression allowing you to explore both your standard Blues repertoire (in fresh new ways) and incorporate new Jazz-influenced lines into your own solos.
In Denny's second series of Organ Blues you will be jamming along with a rhythm guitar, Hammond organ and drum trio with tracks inspired by the likes of Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell and Grant Green!
Denny claims in his notes that the big difference between Jazz and Blues is in the phrasing, and Denny has phrasing in spades! For all the Blues players working through these tracks they may seem a little daunting at first but if you persevere you'll begin to unlock the secrets of playing over the Jazz chord progressions. And fear not, all your stock Blues licks will still work - you'll just hear them take on a new flavour over the more exotic underlying chords.
With this in mind, these tracks all have the level of complexity (both rhythmically and harmonically) of Jazz, but when stripped down, are still straight up Blues grooves at heart!
