Hello, Congratulations to Mr. Arai for developing the A110, i bet it sounds great. I have the PMA 2500NE with JBL 4312SE and the sound is phenomenal. In near future i wish to purchase the A110 or SX11 (because these models I have read all from the Denon Japan blog about the following models: SX1, SX11, SX1 Limited, 2500NE, and A110. Advantages i see in A110: parts from SX1 Limited (to produce a vivid and spacious sound), a simplified CR phonostage , Quad DAC, electronic volume control. Dis-advantages in A110: no volume control knob light like in SX11 or SX1 (i really love this i think it looks so original ...so Denon and very cool), no balanced input. Advantages i see in SX11: resin power transformer, aluminium anti vibration housing for capacitors, volume control knob light (i looove this : ), full separated dedicated MC and MM circuits, balanced inputs. Dis-advantages SX11: no parts from SX1 Limited to produce this new vivid and spacious sound. A sincere question from me to Denon, if you would wish to answer, please: is the A110 on the same level to SX11 in sound? Or is SX11 still a little bit better than A110? I know SX11 is a bit more expensive than A110, but if SX11 is still a bit better than A110, then i would buy the SX11. I would also like to mention: i have looked at most american, japanese, european very expensive amplifier brands, i have never seen another brand which fills the transformer with resin, which makes such a solid aluminium anti vibration capacitor housing, for me the quality of SX11, SX1 and SX1 Limited is sky-high, second to no other brand. I am a big fan!!!!! Ps: the Advanced UHC MOS inscription should have been kept on SX1 Limited front panel as well, it's a pity it was removed, it looked so cool on SX1, something so originally Denon. Great post .How would you qualitatively compare the 2500 NE vs 1600 NE . I dont use vinyl.

@@nareshnarasimhan9774 Hi Naresh. Thank you for appreciating my post! I have never listened to 1600NE so i cannot tell you. The DAC in 2500NE is excellent!! I think it is much better to have the DAC inside amplifier, a DAC inside amplifier is designed to be a better match to the amplifier compared to when you would have an external one. The signal path is much shorter and signal losses are avoided maybe better then having the DAC separately. The 2500NE quality is amazing, thich aluminium panels, every screw outside is having a plastic washer to avoid metal to metal contact, everywhere you knock the amp outside it sounds resonance free, veeeery well assembled. It is the kind of amplifier of end-game. Very powerful probably could drive anything, luxurious, designed to be very practical, functional yet in same time feels premium and luxurious.Sound is powerful, hot=alive, with lots of finesse when needed. Speaking of functionality: on Tidal with Use Exclusive Mode the front display shows you every sample rate and bit rate, example: 24 Bit 92KHZ or 16 bit 44.1 KHZ. I hope this helps a bit. @@hotareanupaul85 I have the Marantz PM7005 and when i turn off the build in DAC, sounds better. Now i am using external DAC, streamer the NA6006. Denon says if not using the build in DAC, switch it off for better sound. I have The PMA/DCD 2020AE and i am using a DCD2020AE as DAC. It's better way to me.

You don't have the knob lighting on a110 but you have a much more important feature i.e. electric volume control with a high precision movement of the knob even from the remote; this was in my opinion a crucial and unexplainable fault of recent Denons including sx11, remote volume control was almost useless because a little button press got you a large uncontrolled movement of the knob and an abrupt variation in volume. I say unexplainable because my Denons from the nineties, even if traditional analog volume control, allowed fine adjustment from the remote with precision movement of the knob without inertia. I suppose Denon went cheap on some parts in the 2000s, glad their returned to form with the a110. Best would have been a numeric reading like Accuphase, the screen was already there, but whatever. In any case, I think that as of today this Denon is the only amplifier worth of purchase up to 5000€/$, after that switch to Accuphase and be happy. I still can't explain how people today can buy Class-D crap at a high price.

I have been a happy owner of the PMA-A110 for two days. The amplifier sounds really gorgeous. Before it, I had the PMA-1600NE and couldn't buy the new PMA-2500NE anymore. That's why I bought the PMA-A110 :) For me, the Denon is the best choice for price and quality. It's a shame the PMA-A110 is not silver but this silver-graphite one is also beautiful. The build quality of the '110 is exemplary and perfect. Thank you Mr. Takashi Arai for the sound of the PMA-A110 amplifier and I wish you many professional successes. Best wishes.

Takashi Arai you did a fabulous job the PMA-A110 is a beauty, both aesthetically and sonically. Premium Denon products always provide some of the best quality and value in hifi.

Denon should remake the sx11 and enter this time the world wide high end market. The Denon engineers know exactly what to do.

Hi! I have the Focal Aria 948. Do you think the Denon a110 will drive the best out of them? Currently I have the Pioneer m73/c73 power/preamp combo from the 90s. 110w class b, 30w class a. Should I make the change? Thank you!😂

To be perfect, this amplifier should have solid aluminium machined buttons. This wouldn't have made much difference to its price, but the grip isn't as good as on other devices in this range price. You might advise me to buy the PMA-SX11 in this case, but it lacks a DAC and bass and treble controls. For Denon's 120th anniversary, perhaps ? 🤔

I am in the market for an AVR and can’t decide between Yamaha, Denon and Sony. I have owned Yamaha and Sony before but don’t know much about Denon (other than the name sounds like Danone the yogurt company).
