Thank you so much. After a move, the turntable stopped spinning. The manual was not helpful at all. Your video showed me that I needed to place the belt around the platter from the underside. Voila!!! You solved my problem. Now I can finally listen to my LP’s!!! It’s only been a year-ha ha ha! So glad I didn’t throw away my 17 year old Denon that my daughter gave me. You rock!!!

Was struggling to change the stylus on mine - quick watch of this and it made it SO straightforward (I know changing a stylus should be!) - thanks so much, mate - really useful video

I had pitch problems with this turntable but remedied it with the speed controls located at the bottom of the table and changed the belt. Also got the LP Gear eliptical upgrade stylus and it sounds fantastic.

ah nice, I’m actually hearing slight pitch issues now. I’ll take a look at the speed controls. Thanks for the suggestion 👍🏻

Where the bottom of the player is really the bottom? So you have to flip the player upside down the adjust the speed?? And with what tool? Lol. Do i understand correctly? Why did they make this so complicated and not just create buttons on the player itself.

Are there certain styluses that work with the Denon as opposed to others? I wanted to replace mine but I'm not sure of compatibility and such.
@sdeeth
@sdeeth 4 года назад
SolidusSnake142 there are a number of different ones that will work, but my major reason to choose what I did was price. Others were 2 or 3 times the price of what I installed. If you do a bit of googling, you’ll find a few forums where people discuss different options for this player. That’s pretty much what I did. Good luck with it all.

I have the same Denon (new) but records are being played to fast while i set it to the right speed according to the record.
@sdeeth

Hi Oscar, i had the same issue with my player before i replaced my belt. So i did a bit of research when mine was running too fast and i started with the basic on first (which fixed mine) instead of using the speed adjustment screw underneath the player. So take off your rubber mat, and you'll see the belt through the inspection hole on the left. (you might need to spin platter around to see it). shorturl.at/dkEP7 - So what i found was that my belt wasn't sitting evenly around the inside of the platter, it was sort of wavy. I slowy moved the platter around and centered up the belt around the platter using my fingers. (Don't take the belt off the small gold pulley). If you find your belt isn't sitting right this might be your issue. after i adjusted mine it played at the correct speed. Months later it stated playing fast again and thats why i replaced my belt to a newer one. There are other options which involve the adjustment screws under the player but try this first. Hope this helps.

great tips,. i just order the turntable waiting for it.. can you tell me if the rca cable on the back can be detached( replace ) i plan to put the turntable a few feet away from the receiver, cant get many info on this beside seeing picture with cheap rca attached to it.. can you tell me please. thanks
@sdeeth
@sdeeth 4 года назад
JSW hi sorry for the late reply. No the rca cables on the back cannot be detached unfortunately. They are very short too! I guess you could extend the cable. I probably wouldn’t suggest opening the player and installing new ones, but it could be an option though.

I'm interesting to buy it. The body of the turntable is plastic??
@sdeeth
@sdeeth 3 года назад
Yes, the outer layer is a thick hard plastic. I assume the inner frame is some form of metal.

Did you need to re-balance the arm, weight and skating after replacing the stylus?
@sdeeth
@sdeeth 3 года назад
I did eventually do that yes. I just set it as per the steps in the user manual.

@@sdeeth Ah I see thanks so much for responding and for the answer . I am new to this world of turntables and every youtube tutorial of sorts that show how to replace the stylus, never really comment on that extra step ... they usually just end the video with ... its Done. so up until now I thought that it was good to go. An extra question do you also need to re "center" (sorry if its the wrong word here) the needle after putting the new one in ? or does one only do that when replacing everything under the headshell ?
@sdeeth
@sdeeth 3 года назад
@@selbac.363 hey, no worries. After I replaced the stylus I found the records were skipping really easily. When I walked past the turntable it would skip every time. So I assumed there wasn’t enough pressure on the needle. It never did this before replacing so not sure if I’d put it out of alignment after replacing (i think I must have)... So after doing the full setup as set out in the user manual it was perfect. No I didn’t need to touch the needle, it’s all contained in the blue part I changed in the video. Once you snap it into place it’s all good, apart from doing the set up as mentioned above.
