DENON DRM-700A vs DRM-700 : What's the difference? 

I have had both these exact same decks and still have the 700.but I sold the 700A. I always said the only difference was the thing in the door! Thanks for pointing out the feet and the music search never would have noticed. One difference between the 2 (in my case) was the vu meter on the 700 was slightly brighter than the one on the 700A. By the way I'm recording over a used mid 80's tdk sa90 right now on the 700 and it's performing fantastically!

Good Tape decks , comes with simple features, but sound is warm and bassy, also display is bright and big. would be nice if it had backing light in the tape pocket, i do own the 700 one. THANK for Your review 😁😁😁😁

This is not an LED indicator, but a luminescent one - it has a different principle of glowing segments.

These kind of units. Esp. High fidelity oriented ones should strictly be used only for recording. For playback one can invest in a cheaper dual deck ones. That way. One can preserve the wear and tear of the recording head caused during playback.

I'm thinking about getting a 700. Do you know what size the belts are?
