Will Clarke have listened to a tonne of your podcasts, wasnt a massive fan of your techno stuff but new tracks off the album are top class. Potentially album of the year for me. Can't wait

The similarity in sounds across the globe is hugely because of people living in platforms like splice and using sample packs, a lot of lego music out now purely layering samples in a DAW

I ran a vinyl label during time he’s talking about, including the implosion and transition. I can’t remember the tacks but I do remember making profit around $1/unit after all said and done, sometimes more on higher volume. Ironically when we transitioned into digital, we crushed it on Beatport for a few years…then that margin dried up around 2016, mostly due to advertising and streaming.

A-slice sounded amazing. I found out about it from its closing speech 😢 would be great to see that come full circle.⭕️

One idea is Insomniac/top tier promoters should step in and enforce the artists “slice” for every song played that night.

Dude, ALL of my top digital tunes have happened long after release. I literally think the bots are crate digging my catalog to introduce “similar” sounds to markets I would never think of or be able to reach….And I don’t think any of this translates into increased visibility, revenue, or anything else artist wise 😂🔊🖤💀

Bro that top vs new or new to the listener is 😢 on streaming…RU-vid is leading here…at least allowing the channel controls for what new or returning people see.

The problem with looking at what the writers strike did to get more money is that they’re all paying for it now with smaller writer rooms, less time to write a project, and 1/3 of the production we’re seeing is being done in LA now

I'll will pay a 200 pounds creamfields ticket in summer and a 40 pounds fabric ticket in fall/winter/spring, it's how it works. Festivals in summer, clubbing in fall/winter/spring.
