Essentially any dental clinical topic could come up but an area many struggle with is OMFS related topics - definitely something to look at!

To answer both your comments, some specialties will want you to have done, for example, a DCT job in OMFS and one in the specialty you are applying to. The person specification gives you an idea of the level the applicant should be at and so this will give you an indication to the level of knowledge you are expected :)

@@dentalnotebook I'm periodontist from India..had to shift here with family. There are 4 posts in restorative n 11 for osmf for temporary registrants. From your experience, can u guide me level of competition for these posts? Will my previous experience be a boon to secure this post in restorative dentistry or should I also apply for OSMF too? Will I be asked about the diseases related to the specific speciality I am applying to- OSMF, Perio, operative, endo- Or will be general like Pedo, oral pathology, medicine,etc.? Much thanks in advance.
