The only problem I have with Thai dentistry is they still take moulds for crowns and you need at least two visits. My dentist in the USA uses a digital camera and they make the crown on site. Everything in one visit.
My daughter has whole mouth done with a digital camera. We saw the whole 3-D of her teeth for orthodontic. Glad I’m in Thailand and the price is more affordable than back in the US.
@@simbatran Who in Thailand is doing digital and do they do one sitting in house crowns? I've not been able to find a dentist that doesn't still take moulds and use temporary crowns while the permanent crown gets made. ???
Front Zircon Crown snapped at it’s base. Which was Somewhat unexpected. Lovely dentist in Khon Kaen who lectures at KKU faculty of Dentistry. Tooth extracted, zero infection or root canal issues allowed an implant and bone graft same day. 25,000Baht.Around the same for the Zircon Crown and abutment in three months time. Reasonable pricing and World class Dentistry.
I recently needed a crown and a filling in NYC. This was not a emergency situation. It cost me $3200. And I know my dentist isn't cheap, but he's good.
That's good. We took advantage of traveling in Thailand and get our teeth done at the same time. So for us was very convenient. That sounds like a very reasonable price for NYC 😃 is that the average price?
@@wetravelslow This is the first one I've had done. So I can't give you an average. This guy is on Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, so even for he city, he's going to be pricey. He's more into cosmetic dentistry, and likely does a lot of celebrities. I don't use him for that though.
Thai healthcare and dentalcare is among top 10 in the world Only a few county's in europe is on that top 10 list rest is asian and Medical tourism is on the rise fast to Thailand . I go to a more normal standard thai clinic and pay about half prices that u payed, but only thing i done last 8 years is checkup cleaning and making a new filling so i cant really compare =)
Could you please provide me with the name of the dental clinics in Bangkok? I am interested in getting some implant dental work done and would like to visit a clinic in the near future. Thank you for your assistance.
Wow that’s really expensive for Thais. For me I would pay less than half of that but chances are the dentists would only speak Thai so the communication will be a problem for international patients. Glad that you are happy and now you can smile in the land of smile :)
Very expensive I think Turkey has the best doctors and they speak english, plenty to discover of history , I was thinking of going to Thailand but no one responded my inquiries and when I check the cost is very high compare to Turkey may be lots of competition in turkey keeping the cost at bay
@@wetravelslow dental cost depends on where clinic is located most downtown locations are very expensive because high Rents and rich people have deep pockets 🤑
There is a story of Thai people said” if I need dental work is cheaper to buy a plane ticket to go home and fix my teeth at home” it is true I experienced that. Plus much more work I pay including plane ticket is still cheaper than in the US and they done a good job.
Be very careful, behind all the smiles they are a slippery bunch of ell's, I paid 13,000 baht for a denture that didn't fit. They blocked my phone when I complained and couldn't make another appointment. Threw the denture away, dental practice near Tesco's car park in Lamai, Koh Samui, be warned, don't pay until you're are satisfied with the work.
