That dating when you're not in your forever city talk, is so real. I'm also like a "love will come if/when it comes and if not that's ok" type of person. But sometimes you meet someone and you want that connection, but in the end you know it would be just rude to them to even try, knowing you will want to move away from this city or state.
Priorities of your time is possibly the "most" important thing about dental school training. I hear/see students wasting plenty of time on things that probably shouldn't be a priority. I love the idea of "do something for yourself everyday". BTW, I find dental students insights helpful in training them to be better clinicians, knowing what is important, how the dental program can be improved for both a better education, but also a better experience is how I'm doing "something for myself" today.
Yes! I really love this video! How do you feel about mouth surgeries(gum conditions) and the effect it has on the human brain/mental health over a period of time?
You are always honest and transparent about your journey in dental school and the difficulties you encounter on your way to become a dentist. Thank you, your content is so real and amazing!
Great vlog! The balancing relationships and being in dental school has been heavy on my mind a lot. I’m a dental hygienist preparing to apply to dental school for the 2025 cycle. I’m currently engaged and I am concerned about being able to balance dental school with my relationship. We were together while I was in hygiene school and while that was challenging I expect dental school to be a completely different beast. It was nice hearing y’all touch on this topic a bit. Love your videos. Please keep doing what you do. You are so close to finishing and before you know it you will blink and D4 will be over!
Well, I think any relationship has the potential to work if you want it to. And if it can survive dental school sounds like the marriage will truly be able to stand the test of times lol. Thank you for the kind words 😊
Very great vlog, dating in dental school is difficult. If my girlfriend was not also in school (PT) then I think it would be difficult for her to understand the time commitment. With that said, I do believe setting time aside to do small thing like get ice cream, go to the movies, or dinner, is a great use of your time if you are in a relationship. Also, love the advice on studying all day and night to get straight A's and not being involved, to each its own, but I never think it's worth your mental health. Keep up the great work bro!
Hello Dr. Eli, Im loving this style of vlogs, hopefully we can see more of these in the near future, especially vlogs which are more about your personal self. I was wondering, have you seen any of your collogues in dental school getting engaged/married?
Noted! Yes, a few of my classmates are married. Two of my classmates got engaged to each other this year! I've seen plenty people at school become engaged, get married.. one of my classmates had a baby this year as well. You see it all
