It was def not “easy” to beat the Lakers with how the Nuggets played. They were fortunate to not lose or at worst go 7. Lakers lead 70% of the series and were up 9-22 points in 5/5 games. LeBron was 38% from 3, the rest of the lakers were 27-28% with many wide open. If that variance was 36-38% they win series or go 7 for sure. Not bc Lakers better, but how bad Nuggets played outside of Jokic MPJ besides Game 5 Murray. To say that series was “easy” would be like Celtics saying series vs Pacers was “easy” bc they won 4-0. They could have easily been down 3-1 or 2-2 going back Boston. The Lakers series with how bad their 3-7 is compared to Nuggets 3-7 + coaching mismatch + core in prime vs Lakers 2 stars yr 21/12 should have been easy, but it was objectively anything but series being down 9-22 points in every game with some bounces and shooting variance going nuggets way for Lakers. Yes Nuggets outside of MPJ Joker were bad from 3 too, but that’s my point Nuggets were playing with fire and if Rui D-Lo Dinwiddee Vincent were simply bad to mid from 3 instead of horrific it’s diff series.
Every single guy the Celtics throw out there can make a 3 and there is such a high volume that they are constantly stressing out defenses. This nuggets roster (and all nba rosters outside of the Celtics) have players who can’t shoot (CB, PWat, AG, and KCP with the bad finger). There needs to be an increase in volume in 3s, and people might say the Celtics ride and die with the 3, but they had such a dominant run this season that maybe the nuggets should look into adopting some of their habits.
1st Jokic will not win ring with DN until 2027 MPJ contract expire and after he will be probably out of his prime so its over. 2nd Jamal and MPJ after ACL 3BS will not get better the older they get but worse more injurie prone less explosive less strength. 3rd Denver will continuing MILKING Jokic prime to develop and sell new or old players for more money then they worth (because Jokic make them look better)

I really think many fans just look at stats or even worse, brand names of who a player allegedly is. MPJ is massively overrated for what they’re paying him. 3rd highest paid player on the team shouldn’t disappear against teams in TWO YEARS IN A ROW now in the playoffs. It’s insanity to think Denver can’t win without Mike. 🤣
@@superdopehiphop I don't want him gone, but he's also not shown up for 3. Injuries do happen, but at some point I don't want to look back and see a player that never took his body seriously being why an all time great never won more than one chip here.
Jaylon Tyson’s transfers are a non-issue. Texas lied about his role, so he transferred to Texas Tech. Texas Tech’s Mark Adam’s was forced to resign over “racially insensitive” comments directed at Tyson. He tried to stay close to home (Plano, TX) and it didn’t work out. Went to Cal and was by all accounts loved there.
There were 2 great teams this year, BOS and DEN, too bad DEN pulled BOS and lost 20 point lead, twice when it counted. Could have been a great final. On the other hand, it was funny to see everybody overrating MIN after they beat DEN (dudes it wasn't MIN doing a good job, it was DEN playing like s***), that's including the bookies, thank you very much. And then everybody overrating DAL, well if they beat MIN and MIN beat DEN, DAL must be pretty good....nah, MIN is unbalanced team, they showed it whole season, RGS don't lie, DEN just put forward EMBARRASING effort, seriously getting blown out by 25 and 35, plus lost 20pts lead, game 7...by a team that can't score...maybe try to defend next time...DAL played defense hard and that was more than enough to easily beat MIN.
Its a shame that best player in the world Nikola Jokic have way better (Mature) team with team Serbia then he has in NBA ..Its insane compare that to Vlade Divac Kings or Luka Dancic Mavs...Nikol is in terrible hands with this Org and this Front Office ..Also Harrison Wind look like front office mouth pace pushing player development theory .
Doesn’t matter, Malone will stick with his hockey lineups. Bench has been horrible number wise not player wise (Pwat, Braun, Jackson and strawher all serviceable) for years and there is only one common denominator
Does anyone, seriously, see Jamal Murray as the 2nd star on Nuggets roster? This season and the next, and the next? Guy is a non-issue going forward. Slow, predictable, no quickness, no defense, and most importantly - no character or (appropriate) attitude. Does anyone REALLY expects more from him!? He's on a down-slide and sooner we trade him, the better. Maybe there's a dumb GM out there that didn't figure this out.
2nd stars are up and down more than you think. Jaylen brown was garbage last year in the playoffs. Anthony Davis is super inconsistent. Kyrie played great all playoffs and now costing them the finals. The bucks traded jrue holiday because he played poorly in the playoffs after their championship. Paul George is super inconsistent in the playoffs. I think it’s way more likely Jamal has a bounce back than you trade for a guy that’s guaranteed to be better. This is coming from someone who is PISSED at Jamal too, but at least we know he can do it

The injuries suck, but they do for many great players in NBA last decade who have missed Playoffs and/or many games in regular season (Durant Curry Kawhi AD LeBron Giannis Klay Kyrie Murray PG Ingram Zion Haliburton Donovan Mitchell Harden Dame Middleton, Butler, Bam etc etc I can keep going a and going. The last 6yrs or so Jokic is the exception not the rule of guys to stay healthy). This past regular season Murray was great on a per 100 basis having his best season ever. Averaged 33.3, 10.2, 6.4. 2.5 stocks on 48/42/85 per 100 possessions all career highs! Nuggets this yr in 59 games Murray played won at 62-20 pace (elite 1 seed lock usually). When he didn’t play in 23 games they won at 48-34 pace (6-8 seed). That shows how VALUABLE/IMPORTANT he is. When Murray/Jokic played together this year in regular season they were +15.4 per 100 which is AMAZING! Even this playoffs which was down for him for sure (he clearly wasn’t 100% but no one is that time of year) he was 2nd player of last 25 yrs (LeBron 2006) to have two game winners in final 5 seconds of same series! He also averaged 34 PPG 5 APG on elite %s in game 5/7 close out games vs Lakers & Wolves. An amazing Murray stat most don’t know is since 1997 Playoffs (play by play era) no one besides Jamal Murray has had more then 1x scored 21+ points in a 4th quarter. Murray has done it 4x no one else even 2x! He’s an ELITE all time 4th quarter playoff performer! What some fans also don’t seem to realize is it’s almost certainly not realistic to trade for anyone better than Murray! Also many players who get “max contract” are not truly max players as one 5-10 players in NBA are truly max. Murray has proven he can be an elite number 2 on championship team! If you could get Donovan Mitchell for him (does he want to be in Denver and re-up there bc signs point to staying in Cleveland or wanting to go East to NYC/Brooklyn/Miami) I’d do that for sure, but outside of that who else is even a possible REALISTIC option?!?
Murray was neck and neck with Jokic in 2020 for best player that playoff run. Ended those playoffs with more total Points and Assists than Jokic. 54/45/90 splits. Then there’s that one year where he helped lead the Nuggets to their first ever NBA Championship. 26/6/7 on 52/40/93 splits. Triple double in the finals. Remember? You are definitely trippin.
