Yes it looks like a cemetery too, not surprised. The park always has a weird vibe to it. I wouldn't walk alone there at night. "Most" of the bodies...not all. So there are still bodies there in that park!
Most of the body's moved ended up at riverside cemetery and these days that place has no water for irritating lawn or trees. With all things dead there it's creepy but great for pictures 👍
I do NOT believe there was 2000 people buried at Cheeseman Park. It wasn't quite that big. Yes, it was a cemetery and most of the bodies were removed. The old cemetery became what is now Cheeseman Park and Botanical Gardens combined........which isn't nearly large enough to hold 2000 graves. Probably a few hundred graves.
The exact number will never be known. But at the very least it’s 400-500 bodies, and at most it’s around 4,000. So 2,000 is pretty much in the middle of that.
