We have basically stood still. Bought 2 to replace 2 who left for free. Sold 3 who weren't even in our squad and a 5th choice centre back. Need to sell 7 and buy 5 or it's another failure window.
@@GavinAldworth it might be that yoro and zirkze turn into top players in a year or two but right now the team is not stronger. Varane and the butcher are a top class centre back pairing. yoro is still developing. i doubt zirkze is gonna be the 20 plus striker we need this season either. i would be more excited in the short term if we signed neves or toney but they are not ineos type signings
6/10 so far as we got rid of a decent amount of deadwood and brought two future superstars(hopefully). We need another 5 signings at least and I would get rid of these players as it's possible to do in this window McTominay(sell for 30mil) Wan Bisakka(sell for 15 mil) Sancho(sell for 40 mil) Eriksen(sell for 10 mil) Casemiro(sell for 45 mil) Antony(send on loan) Lindelof(sell for 12 mil) Gettind rid of these players will bring a decent amount and free up a huge amount of wages
Maguire needs to be sat down and told that he doesn’t have a future at the club and he needs to find a move. He’s never going to work in this system and hanging around is hurting the club. If we’d had this conversation last year we’d have already signed Todibo and may not have struggled as much as we did last season. We have to stop being a retirement home where players can collect huge wages while never being up to the job.
I’m sure he has been sat down. Let’s break this down…your boss comes to you and you’re near retirement and he says…we want you to take a pay cut and go next door to worse facilities. There’s more work for you over there, but you MIGHT be happier and have more say on what goes on….yeah good luck mate.
@@CoachKFutbol but he’s not “near retirement” is he’s 31 and his contract expires next year. He could play another 5 years if he wanted to but instead he’d rather collect 1 years wage while he wastes away on the bench than actually try to salvage what’s left of his career. Do these guys really want to tell their grandchildren that their career boiled down to not quite working out at united so they just binned off what was left of it? At some point they have to have a bit of self pride
@@jonzoshokk I understand how it works. I just think these players should have some pride. He could have 4 or 5 years being a key player for someone. Instead he wants 1 more year wage…. If West Ham offered half his wage on a 4 year deal he’ll make double the money compared to 1 more year holding us back. Are we really playing the “poor Harry Maguire can’t possibly survive on £100k a week” card? I get that they don’t have to leave, but players never do….. they want to go somewhere and play football. Who wants to sign a guy who’s spent 3 years being 5th choice and 2 seasons before that being in such poor form that he lost his starting spot, lost his England spot, stripped of the captaincy and basically became a meme?

We have Blanc, Berrada, Ashworth, Vivell, Wilcox and Sir Jim in directly doing business with Jorge Mendes. This is not a bunch that gets ripped off by anyone. If we don't try and hijack Neves they will have a reason for that and more is at play.

I don't think it's only about the money at all United have stopped buying more players because United haven't spent a lot of money yet considering they've done some sales already and that you pay for the players over at least 3 years. But the problem at the moment is selling those players already in the squad to get space for others. Only Varane (for Yoro), Martial (for Zirkzee), Amrabat (space for Ugarte) and Kambwala (space for De Ligt) have left - others who left weren't in the squad last season. So to make space for and buy for instance Frimpong then Pellistri needs to be sold first. Also Sancho wasn't in the squad last season so United don't really have space for him. If Sancho is staying United probably won't buy Frimpong even though Pellistri is sold. So from now on players have to be sold to get new players in - apart from Ugarte and De Ligt or 2 similar players which United already have space for. Swap deals are of course another way to make space.
INEOS are clearly struggling to remove certain players which is restricting what they can spend on new players, very frustrating but to be expected... most of the players have one year left on their contracts and will probably leave for free next summer
If utd don't want to spend the money on ugarte, then just walk away. Let psg have never and move on to the next target. Its time wasted. If zubimendi or fofana want to go to utd, then go for them.
Mate.. the community shield is a huge re season games for those returning from international duty. Nothing more. Prepare for Fulham & it goes without saying but it’s a MUST WIN.
We don't Need Neves as we have Mainoo who is basically the same player. We need a physical no 6 to play with Mainoo not an 8 to replace him. We don't need both
We should have signed Todibo last year which would have put us in a better position this year. But we overpaid on both Rasmus and Onana. Poor negotiating by MU. Bless
You can sell players on high wages, just not at the value you want for them. We’ve signed one replacement at this time and we need a CDM replacement or we lose the midfield battle. I’d also not give Bruno another contract, he didn’t have a good year last year, he’s getting older, we should be looking to cash out on him. Harsh reality is that if Bruno is your best player, you aren’t winning anything.

We don’t have 70 million upfront like PSG do and we are not facilitating their purchase 😂😂 if we buy Ugarte his fee will be spread over the length of his contract and might get him at a very good price as PSG are touch and go with FFP, United can’t afford Neves forget about him already
