This clip? 9/10, maybe even 10/10. It showcases the humanity and love that McCall has for his fellow man, especially "at-risk" youths, something Denzel himself is deeply invested in, in real life.

I was fortunate enough to have a real dad. Mine was an Army Ranger who served in warzones that nobody today even remembers, but he taught me the skills I needed to survive and to thrive. He died when I was only 28, but what he taught me will never leave me and for that I am forever grateful. I feel him with me everywhere I go. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. He taught me that strength isn't just in the weapon you're carrying, it's in the mind itself. The mind is more powerful than any firearm, and the survival of the man carrying it depends upon his reaction time, trigger discipline, and a steady hand.

This film wasn’t necessarily on par with the original, but this scene really stuck with me. The frustration, the disappointment, and anger. I think we all feel what Denzel feels when we see a young man that feels like they have no choice but to choose this life path. I’m a white guy and have no idea of the social pressures like that young kid faces. But we all wish that there was a way to save them from that life in the way Denzel did. You can tell Denzel felt a personal obligation and calling to write in a scene like this. An Oscar performance in a relatively mediocre action sequel. Amazing scene.

That and the fact that most black people dismiss it when a white person asks what it's like living in the hood so they can get some sort of understanding and help them. During the George Floyd riots I asked once what it's like in the hood as I wanted a better understanding. I was called all sorts of names and was directed to a book someone wrote about living in the hood. If black people refuse to explain what it's really like in the hood how can anyone honestly provide the help they need and improve things. It all has to do with some Republicans and a lot of democrats in office not wanting blacks equal with whites.

@@jamesahn3570 My point is a man doesn’t become a dirtbag overnight. He wasn’t an upstanding, productive citizen that turned to sh1t when the baby came. He was a loser when she met him, he was a loser while he was busting nuts inside of her, and low and behold, he was a loser when the child was born. 51% of BM have no children. 63% of BW do. Over 70% of that 63% have multiple children by multiple men. Considering there are 22 forms of birth control, I don’t understand why this matter is always laid squarely at the feet of men when women have the most opportunities to stop it from happening.

There a message worth listening to for any young men, White, or Black, or any other colour , race or creed. We all have a choice. Sometimes you may not think so, sometimes it seems like there is no other way. But there is. you just have to be strong.

4:17 - 4:25 Real shit. I don't want to hear that racism, oppression bullshit. Neither does the actor Denzel. Not just this character. Little Yummy? That's a real person Denzel spoke about in interviews. He has also spoke about the excuses made. He spoke about choices.

No true words have ever been spoken and the way Denzel brought it to life is incredible "you don't know what death is you have no idea what death is"... He said it the way that someone would say who has personal experience in those matters and trust me I know what I'm talking about I did 30 years in the NYPD I have seen death up close and far away and he just nailed those lines

The most powerful scene in the Equalizer movies. Of course I love the fight scenes, but this is beyond great action. It's some of the best acting Denzel has done, and a scene that should be shared with anyone who is thinking of joining a gang.

when ever I overthink and become pessimistic cuz I myself wanna be a actor but primarily a RU-vidr Filmmaker the same way we look at Denzel as the greatest that’s what I’m striving for whenever I’m in doubt I run to this scene it’s almost like an escape when he said to him “man ain’t spelled GUN” and then he says “you got talent” it makes me teary eyed cuz even tho I’m hard on myself so many people tell me that insane talent that I have as a filmmaker especially my editing skills as I’m a self taught editor but then when he says “you still got a chance USE IT WHILE YOU’RE STILL ALIVE” the tears come pouring down such a huge reminder that I have a chance I’m 26 still young but growing I just hope one day I can move you guys the way Denzel does with my storytelling 🎥

I love the ending, where the kid is on a bus (in his school uniform) explaining the Super Hero cartoon he's created, to a girl. The girl asks "Does he fly" and he says "No, he drives a Malibu". I was laughing all the way through the closing credits (and happy).
