Depackaging Organics with the Turbo Separator 

With the growing push for organics diversion from landfill, there is an increasing number of organisations investing in anaerobic digestion and composting using the organics recovered from packaged supermarket food waste. Another offtake for the organics is animal feed.
However, there is a step between packaged supermarket food waste and the clean organics stream, namely separating the packaging from its contents.
That step is the Atritor Turbo Separator. Available in a range of throughputs up to 20 Tonnes per hour, the Turbo Separator cleanly separates organics from a wide range of packaging materials, producing an organics stream often better than 99% pure. The recovered packaging is also clean and (material dependent) is suitable for recycling.
