You also don't get any doctor to aid you in any longevity's in jail or prison ,by doing crime you've volunteered yourself to be just a peice of meat waiting to die .
Those are just numbers and information they allow the public to hear about. There’s a lot more going on at that place that would make people afraid to go outside. Rapes, stabbings, drugs, etc etc etc...
sometimes it's random attacks from extremely mentally unstable inmates. other times the officer being attacked acted like a d**k head to everyone and someone had enough. we will never know the whole story because they keep things in that arena hush hush.
Let's say my friend worked there before and I can tell you that almost all the time it was the inmates being mentally unstable or just being upset they were caught and put in jail. But we really know why that inmate was here as his behavior would give it away! Regardless of what you heard about correctional officers being corrupted, most officers just want to come to work and go home unharmed! Bully officers do not last long there. There are administrative people watching over them and are triggered happy in writing them up for any questionable doing! On the other hand. Inmates are free to curse out anyone, officers and civilians, they can behave like animals and officers cannot do anything to them (more so in the last few years)! Inmates could hold up other services for other inmates just by laying on the floor as many inmates of different gangs cannot be mixed. Inmates agitate officers often to get them to use force and so the inmates could file complaints on the use of force! If you have doubts about what I said, just look at how many correctional officers quit last few years. And also new recruits are quitting left and right! Most inmates carry improvised weapons and are ready to attack officers and staff alike! No they don't need any reasons! They could come down for medical care and saw a clinician walking by and one inmate would start talking to the clinician. If the clinician was not answering that was enough for the attack! If the inmate was outside he would be arrested because that would be a crime! But here the officers would have to "talk" the inmate out of harming the clinician!! The news media wants to portray the inmates as victims so the media can get to be the hero! The patient advocates are special interest groups wanting to punish the officers and medical staff for not treating the inmates like normal humans but I wouldn't call them normal when they see a medical provider and first thing out of their mouth was "if you don't get me what I want (codeine) I know where you live and I will find you and hurt you!" You never hear the whole story when there was an attack or even when an inmate died when being reported by the news!
You're correct, those are the ones who think they are superior ,type of attitude, they learn really fast, who really runs the inside system. Staying and being humble is always the way.
After getting stabbed 15 times DOC will try to blame the officer for the inmates actions during their investigation...no consequences for inmates actions, so he will just do it again...This lawlessness in jail and out must be ✋️ asap

Well, that’s normal. Criminals have just as much rights in jail as they have out of jail. Wouldn’t be surprised if the criminal claimed the officer stabbed himself.
That job is so hard. I dated an officer and when they went on lock down for hours the officers had to as well. Robbing the officers of their freedom too

Honestly this happens because the correctional officers are out numbered and inmates are always making shop objects out of everything ..you never ever want to turn your back on an inmate
It also happens bcuz some officers talk recklessly or out of bounds to inmates and expect the inmates to respect them when officers perform bullying tactics. Nit saying the officer did that, but just saying that is one of the reasons. They're not telling us the whole story. Inmates don't usually attack officers on the random.

No more southern fried or baked chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes smothered in butter, no more pizza, no more ‘glazed ham,’ no more ‘pot roast,’ no more eggs with pork link sausages, you know after all that people in the black community will definitely see less crime.
This is why the US government needs to take away recreational activities such as weight lifting, watching tv, reading, socializing and going outside for fresh air. As for food inmates should only get bread and water once a day. This will be the ultimate punishment. America's punishments are too lenient. That is why criminals don't fear going to prison.
Until it’s your own family locked away you wouldn’t feel the same way… as someone who did 3 bids I was able to do a 360 so not all inmates deserve to be thrown a bone and treated inhumane as your describing. Willing to bet you never did time for even 24hrs to say some stupid shit like that…

Sure, until the inhumane treatment causes more incidents like this. I disagree with some of the things inmates are permitted to have, but at the same time I agree that certain activities reduce the amount of violent incidents, and criminal activities inside prisons. What would help is better pay and benefits for for staff retention, better treatment of staff, and a higher budget to provide staff with the resources to maintain security.
They have took out all programs including educational ones as well how do u expect somebody to come out rehabilitated when there not getting rehabilitated I’m just saying it’s a bigger problem than that and that isn’t gonna do anything but make it worse

The doctors should strap the murderers to a bed and then cutting them open and remove their organs. If America had these types of punishments criminals will be too terrified to commit crimes.

More than likely she complained about ‘child support.’ The last thing you would ever say to a thug is him paying ‘child support.’ Most women who are murdered started out seeking ‘child support.’ One of the sad things about it is judges in family courts are aware of those dangers and still proceed with the judgments.

I was in this maximum security prison 1 time and these 2 dudes were stabbing eachother and 1 Co tried to break it up so they both started stabbing him man when I tell you there was a blood trail for 2 blocks that was crazy don't ever try to break up a fight with 2 dudes stabbing eachother

The only difference between a correctional officer and an inmate is that the officer gets to go home to sleep. And some of them are worse than the inmates.
The FIRST thing the Progressive NYC District Attorney will ask the ANIMAL who did this is after you stabbed the officer 15 tjmes, were you mistreated in any way by the other officers? Did they strike you or hurt your feelings?

@@jamescaliendo1030 there is a reason why there is such a high recidivism rate , try looking at the jail system in a place like The Netherlands and how low the recidivism rate is . When you are sent to jail the punishment/consequence is supposed to be the loss of your freedom , that is it . The fact is people are released from jail when their time has been served and jail needs to be rehabilitative if they are to have any chance/hope of being productive members of society . If you house people in hell holes and abuse them and treat them like s#it and destroy any chance of employment then how do you think or expect them to act when they are released ?
End punitive segregation - if the prisoners are treated like animals and not rehabilitated- what do we expect? The prisoners are treated awful - then they come out and take it out on society. The punishment is removal from society - not receive additional trauma. Of course they are going to target the officers - you’ve created a hostile environment. It should be a healing ❤️🩹 environment- society has the concept of jail twisted. Until the prisoners are safe - we’re not safe.

the inmates came to Rikers already acting like animals! It is why they were arrested! Most of them were doing some shady business! Don't turn it around and blame the environment!
He must of did something to provoke it. If he did, it's well deserved. And far as the guy saying he did nothing to provoke it wasn't there to actually know that.
You won't survive 15 stabs hell no. The inmate is purely a murderer and he wanted to kill that guard. If someone has alligators just feed this inmate to them.
