Lahore Airport, originally known as Walton Airport, served as the primary airport for Lahore in the early days of aviation. The airport’s name was later changed to Lahore International Airport and subsequently to Allama Iqbal International Airport, in honor of Muhammad Iqbal, a philosopher, poet, and politician in British India who is credited with inspiring the Pakistan Movement.
