Wow, these guys were young and shy and very respectful, they had every right to punch some of those idiots asking stupid questions or even touching them :-)
OMG I was there for the Much Music interview, so much cringe. I always wonder why they sent Alan to do these and I understand why. He was the most diplomatic. He could be sarcastic and most of the interviewers were too dense to realize he was being snarky. Just watch that eyebrow, it speaks volumes.
From what I've heard and seen about Alan Wilder over the years, it summarizes his character a lot, especially in interactions with fans. I mean, whether it was a clip, or just getting an anecdote from the mailing list (the old BONG-13 that Brian Hess ran and Daniel Barassi were a part of)- he sounds like quite the congenial guy.
i genuinely feel sorry for that poor interviewer. He wasn’t doing an awesome job, and it’s obvious he doesn’t know much about DM but you can see him disintegrating throughout the video with how Alan is visibly fed up with him. It’s agonising to witness.
I was on both and having spent time with him, and having a truly incredible experience with the man. He is just wonderful. There’s nothing bad that you can say about him.
Exactly how dare them. D🌹M is no one’s toy or 🤡. Their music spectacular and were advanced for some people that didn’t get the electronic 🎶. I have followed this band from the 80’s to present. And they’re are the best!!!!
He was famous for awkward moments. I watched the full interview and he actually was pretty friendly with the guys and they laughed a lot. Anyway, that boy or girl question says it all about Italy in the '80s.
These guys are multi millionaire's ,,,,, after watching this I can say they deserve every penny. One particular interviewer should have been sent to intensive care via a well placed head butt.
I think now the guy was speaking another language(probably German from the sound of it), but he sounds like he's saying "whats a condom?", and Dave probably misheard or didn't understand him🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I actually wouldn’t have called this people reporter’s. It’s sad to know they had no clue who they actually were interviewing. They looked ignorant and unprofessional. D🌹M you guys have always been amazing and beautiful people. Super talented but awesome human beings💙
the 3:23 interview was intentional..to show the TV crowd that it is possible to make music WITHOUT the traditional band set up of guitar, bass, and drums. The girl doing the interview is quite long in the pop music reporting business.
Dave then and today (2021) Dec....God of sexiness. Magnificent. This May 9, 2022, this sexy beast turns 60....I hope he never stops doing all he does on stage....
You can really tell that near all of this footage is pre-Black Celebration. They were trying anything to get some press but the media really didn't know how to deal with them. Once they got a little bigger though I think both the press and the band knew how to do things.
