This new HD edition of 101: A film by D.A. Pennebaker, Chris Hegedus, David Dawkins has been meticulously upgraded using 4k scans of the original film reels to create an all-new viewing experience.

Additional contents in the new, limited edition Depeche Mode 101 box set include: a 48 page behind-the-scenes story of the day photo book with exclusive imagery; a 20" x 30" replica of original US theatrical release movie poster; a 16 page Anton Corbijn Photo Mode book as featured in the original album release; a double CD of the original 20 track 101 concert release; and a Download Card providing access to 4K downloads of the film and bonus performances plus 24-bit audio files of the 101 concert release. The two DVDs in the set contain the original extras from the 2003 DVD release of Depeche Mode - 101, which are exclusive to the DVD discs.

What a moment this must have been for Depeche Mode and for electronic music in general.A perfect way to seal their Historic moment with 'Behind the Wheel' ("Tonight I am in the hand of fate!" It really fits this grand occasion on where they reached from such humble beginnings in a little town just outside the East of London. They were the real torchbearers of electronic synth music and what it could be... this was especially a slap in the face for all the rock critics who thought this was not "real" music. Guess what? More than 35 years since this historic concert, DM still rocks (no pun intended)!

As epic as it gets. Band, song and performance, never to be equalled??? Saw them in Belfast in 2016 and they blew our minds. Thank god they found me in my teens so long ago. I also get a buzz knowing that I share a birthday on 23/07 with the genius and maestro Martin Gore! Cheers, fella. x

La mejor versión de esta canción. Es bueno saber que algunas tomas de las actuaciones que se ven en el 101 no son hechas siempre en el Pasadena Rose Bowl y son extractos hechos en la gira. En el video de People Are People, como las tomas incluyen el manejo del panel de luces, es más notorio que la presentación es en un estadio techado mucho más pequeño... también se puede advertir en algunos cambios de ropa de Fletch o Martin...

Esta canción es el puro éxtasis. Tuve el privilegio de escuchar y verlos en Bogotá en el 2009 y ver esa versión que fue también muy épica. Como hace falta Andrew Fletcher en DM.

But not as financially rewarding. For example here in England we employ X% of the population just to be depressed for reasons of national security. Who knows when they might be needed? so it's kinda confidential really. But i do know for a fact that it's a thing. After all I live here so I know literally everything about here.

The sequence when Dave and Martin smile at each other is cool but it's not taken from the Rose Bowl Concert because Martin is not wearing his leather jacket ...

Exactly! I had people argue with me that it is from the Rose Bowl Show. Which is not. Like you said Martin wore his leather Jacket during "Behind the Wheel" at the actual Rose Bowl Show. Many don't know that many shows om this tour were filmed by Pennebaker, which he mixed in together for the "101" film.

There are a lot of moments in the video where some channels get muted (for example the bass drum beats in 2:10 and 2:30). AFAIK these are not present in the original release (or the HD version) but I can't check since I don't own the physical copies. Nevertheless thanks for the upload.
