I live in the U.S. and I've been seriously collecting Depeche Mode for about a year and since then I've been looking for the UK items but unfortunately they are a bit difficult to find unless you pay quite a bit or have it imported. Which I was thrilled to find 2 parts of In Your Room (LCD and XLCD) for $10. I flipped out and bought it straight away, and I ordered the 1st part of In Your Room for $17 and I'm waiting for it to arrive.
Another great video. I would keep the promo - it is a rare item. You could always buy the Canadian CD Singles from SOFAD. They were released in jewel cases! I suggest you buy some resealable sleeves for the cardboard sleeves. You can buy them in bulk on ebay normally sets of 100.....
Really enjoyed this video Nick (and the others I've watched since I came across your channel last week). SOFAD is my favourite DM album and I once had all those CD's too before I sold most of them off. Might take a look at your listings and try get some back :). I'm curious what other bands/artists you also like or collect? keep the videos coming - really enjoying them :)
Great collection you have there Nic and some real gems, though gotta admit SoF&D was my least favourite DM album at the time of its release, so I'd pretty much given up on being a completetist by then. My Joy is a classic DM track though it has to be said. I worked for a while at Booksale back in the day and we literally had hundreds of those In Your Room cd singles which we just couldn't shift, so it was weird to hear that they're quite scarce now. Wish I'd have grabbed a few and stashed them away in the loft.
The Jeep Rock Mix is bloody fantastic. I was one who completed the In Your Room set. (and re-bought CD2 and 3 for completion lol) Edit: here's another collection goal for you. Martyr was released with 3 separate singles. However - if you ordered all three versions from Mute Records you got a free slip case to house them all. I did that and I have **never** seen that set complete for sale online since.
@@vnvmode Oh, I'm sure. I haven't really looked for it specifically. Just basic DM searches on various sites and it never materialized for me that way. :)
Hi, it's a bit annoying to hear you say CD1, 2, 3. They have names! CD is the single, LCD stands for Limited Single, XLCD for Extra Limited Single. Also, the Best Of you showed, the case is called Super Jewel Case, used regularly for SACD releases. I would expect a bit more professionalism if you want to show these items to the world. Btw, you can find all the info at www.depmod.com I have the chance to buy these items on their exact release dates back in the 90s. These are my very best collector items, including the vinyl versions, many of them signed. ;)
