There is a really good reason to why this live cover exists. Him singing the song back in 1980 that got him to be the lead singer of what is then Composition of Sound. and now that David Bowie passed away in early 2016. Great Tribute.
That was the most beautiful arrangement of "Heroes" that I've ever heard. I've been lucky enough to have seen DM live a few times and they've never covered anyone else's work. This was a real treat and something to look forward to when I see them in August. Thx for the video. 😊
DM is one of the sexiest, fantastic beautiful bands out there. I cannot believe how fantastically they have been keeping on and bringing pleasure to their fans (me, so much) for so many years. I'd say their concerts are rather low key these days, comparing to the 90s and early 2000s. But I don't mind it, because it's always dynamic and classy. They have been my drug of choice for self confidence, anxiety, depression and all the other things hard to deal with.
When I think back on this very moment, I know I was there but I didn´t know at the time how great this was. I felt "wow, Bowie, wtf??!!??!!, this is great, best cover ever" Now all I get is shivers. This is THE BEST cover of this song ever. And knowing the story behing it all and Depeche Mode, jus wow!!!
This is a wonderful tribute to Bowie. So beautiful and performed in great respekt. Also a smile to Dave Gahan for choosing to perform David Bowie in his early experience on wanting to perfom as a singer and ultimately getting a gig in a band called Depeche Mode. Sergio Björksson No, se refiere que gracias al cantarla (está misma canción de Bowie) en el instituto en una obra, Vince Clark lo vio cantar y vio que tenía un gran potencial y lo reclutó a su banda, más tarde Dave se convertiría en el cantante oficial y gracias a él le pondrían a la banda Depeche Mode.
