Oh we miss you fletch 😢. It's rare to get to hear him speak that much it's kind of cool my first time seeing this interview.

These newer interviews are a lot more substantial than earlier ones. DM seemed to always be into maintaining a aura of mystery and unspecificity, here they seem to be so open and honest.

Wow, looking at this today, Martin is really plugged in.

Depeche Mode are not an extraordinary Band: they are simply THE BAND, and that's it. But the physical aspect is very bad: Andy (unfortunately deceased, and I am incredibly dismayed) and Dave have aged very badly, here in this interview Andrew was 55/56 years old and looks like a man over seventy. And Martin and Alan also look 10 years older than their age. And yet their co-founder Vince Clark, now ERASURE with Andy Bell, is, at just 58, too old in appearance. Just compare them to A-HA's Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Pal Vaatkaar, who are roughly the same age (Morten is from 1958 or 1959 if I remember correctly), and they show how old they are (i.e. to be Young and Healthy) . DEPECHE MODE are SPECTACULAR in their music and singing, but otherwise they seem very unhealthy. The best preserved is Martin. Dave pays for all the harm his drug addiction has brought him. Up until 15-20 years ago they were beautiful, Alan Wilder played it with Dave about manly beauty, but then ... a terrible collapse. I hope Martin and even more Dave recover, they still have a lot to give. And I hope, now that Andrew is dead, that Alan and Vince are back in the Band as well. Nobody prevents Vince Clark from being both ERASURE and DEPECHE MODE. After all, he founded the two bands himself. And I don't think Andrew Bell would take it badly. If he also wants to join ...

I love DM but politically they’ve always seemed to be on the naive side. Like, they mean well, but haven’t got any more clue than the average bread winner.

Trump being in power is a GOOD thing, Martin L. Gore. Enjoy my country just like I will of yours, when I travel to England, in time. DepecheMode=my favorite band next to TooL. We may not have the same political viewpoints, Martin bro, but that's why my country is 'cool', like yours is, brexit or not.
