@@Ch0ng0B0ng0it could be related to the Israeli palaestina conflict, maybe some people expect conflict between Ben and emil with Ben being jewish or something
Christ, Ben is so handsome. Oh wait, shit so is Emil. Is that allowed? A podcast with two insanely attractive male hosts? This requires further research.
Literally nothing more refreshing than two of my favorite creators having the wherewithal to not address certain topics, hats off to b & e in this fucked up time. Also ben looks jUst as cute without the mustache shut up
@@AC-gm6dr to be so fucking honest with you man, I have no idea where to look for the most accurate take on the israel/Palestine issue but know it's far more complex and has way more historical/religious background than anyone could probably learn in a lifetime. If anyone knows where the most accurate info on understanding this is, I'd take my time to read it.
Tbh big respect for keeping the Israel/Palestine convo off the pod. It’s sensitive and complicated and most people feel the need to share their take on everything, it’s very ok to keep that private
It also wouldn’t be the most productive. A lot of misinfo flying around and emotion pushing that to the top. Would’ve probably turned into a debate where neither Ben or Emil win
I appreciate the situation not being discussed. I see so many people feel entitled to drop hot takes on every topic, many of who only learned it even existed literally 30 seconds prior. I like this podcast to watch someone geeking out about the top plane crashes, jersey boy stories, and market discussions. For me at least, this is an escape from the hot takes.
I’m glad you guys aren’t on the “we must publicly address everything that happens in the news” train . I’ll stick to leftovers for that I come here for a specific reason 🐷
I mean they are making public statements on social media, copping out on the pod because they don’t want hate. But they talk about world politics and finance and then one of the bigger world events happens and they refuse to address their own statements from twitter on the pod. Sorry but it’s stupid
Was the latest Leftovers episode an easy watch? I’ve never missed an episode, but I find the subject of dead kids really upsetting so I’ve been avoiding it so far.
Hasan definitely isnt "somebody who pretends to be something they are not" not saying you guys were insinuating that either you made both of your takes clear and i respect it. Its hasans job to know what is going on and i respect him greatly for being one of the only media sources that ignores the propoganda and sees the issues for what they are. Swimming through lies from both sides. Also raising a million dollars for palestinian medical assistance in 4 days is actually insane. I know yall dont want to adress it here and i respect yall for that, i too wouldnt want to talk about it in front of thousands of people because im not an expert on the tooic either. Its just all ive been seeing media about this past week, hard to ignore. Anyway i am once again BEGGING yalll to get hasan on the pod. The chemistry would be great and yall could easily do an hour shitting on dianne fiensten together lol. Anyway love the pod, love my boys, excited for a fun ep.
talking to ben is sometimes like talking to a schizophrenic patient. "my buddy Joe (who is a real person) is coming into town with his VHS digitizing equipment and I don't know how I'm going to pay him" 11:25
By far the hardest and longest I ever cried and will ever cry was Aug 2022 when I had to put my dog Scottie down. It was time. He was my best buddy. Had to skip the Meg part of this episode.
so much respect for y'all making this episode not about the current crises; i think a lot of people in entertainment have been neglecting making escapist media / media not about the current crisis for a while now but this was very refreshing to watch. i wish a merry crocs got boots to y'all
Talking about social media being bad discourse, the last week made me delete twitter after 9 years. Seeing people call Jewish people N*zis and say that Palestinians are in support of beheading children without second thought made me truly sad, in the middle of the day seeing this shit it fucks you up. Good to see the boys being measured, great episode. Ben don’t eat the fish food!
One of my former professors still uses his aol address; he says he wants to be the last man alive using aol. He also emails a new person every single day (he's insane but in a good way).
I appreciate the way you handled this so much. To not address the conflict would feel disingenuos. Explaining to us that your stances arent in alignment and demonstrating the boundaries youve put in place to maintain your friendship and the show was really appreciated. It is so so so appreciated that you communicated with the audience your boundaries and the reason youve put them in place.
i wish they would break the tension at the beginning of the video to let us know they would not fight by kissing each other i think that would’ve done the job
oh my god ok I listened to the ep first and the clip of Emil laughing at 6:44 confused me so hard, I assumed it was Dillon laughing? everything makes sense now
1. Dylan is hilarious, especially being a faceless voice coming from behind the camera. 2. When is future wife coming on, we will welcome her with open arms. 3. We understand what you were trying to do when you called women stoic Ben ❤
this weekend was so terrible and this whole week has been poop. but this is a safe space!! i’m not going to be able to stop thinking about printing out the internet.
It's sad and hard to talk about, but we put down my first dog of 10 years almost exactly 3 months ago. She'd gotten attacked by another dog at the dog park, was on the road to recovery then started having seizures out of nowhere (she had 4 or 5 at home and 3 after getting to the vet, they told us to wait before bringing her in otherwise we would have taken her in sooner). Took her to the animal hospital and got her on anti-seizure medication which worked wonders but she could barely walk on her own, needed someone behind her to help hold up her legs. She was very confused and we don't know how "present" she actually was, but she had a few moments of clarity. She also started to get her strength in her back legs back but on her best day after a hard week the vet called to tell us that they ran blood tests on her and found she had late stage brain and lung cancer. She was almost 11 years old, we weren't going to put her through chemo that late in life. She was also very healthy aside from, y'know, the incurable death sentence. We planned to get her put down at our home the next day by a vet, but she had another seizure that night and was nearly unresponsive, wouldn't take her medications and was clearly struggling on her dog bed that we bought for her since she couldn't get on the furniture after the aforementioned attack. We decided to bring her in and do it that night instead of making her suffer. It wasn't something any of us wanted to do, but the fact that she had cancer of that level forced our hand and every time I wish I could have done something differently, I tell myself that she was already doomed. It was the most painful choice I've ever had to make, but I know it was the right one even if it doesn't always feel like it.
Emil u taking acid in Yosemite inspired me so I did the same with a couple friends this summer. Despite getting heat exhaustion from running out of water on a hike, it was amazing!
Our family dachshund is 16 years old and I told my dad that if he wakes up one morning and he won’t won’t eat then it’s time to put him down. He has already had days where his back legs don’t work but every time its happened so far we give him his medicine and he’s OK. It’s especially hard because he was my mom‘s dog and my mom passed away five years ago, but I’ve come to terms with the fact that if he’s not enjoying life anymore, then it’s better.
I have to wear mandatory crocs at work as part of the clean environment. You bet your ass I'm taking advantage the loop hole and c-rocking up in cowboy boots
30:02 one time i was listening to an audiobook while playing subway surfers and when i died i looked at my score and it was 3,000,000… i have no clue how i got that high of a score but it was the original watching subway surfers to pay attention
Fish Food Factory manager here, been here since I was 18. I fell in love with the smell of the fish food as long as I can remember so probably when I was about 4 years old. Just couldnt let it go.. its been almost 30 years now at the factory and I love every second of it. Hopefully more young people can find the joy in producing fish food because we do need some workers that stay longer then just the summer.
Best advice I've heard about having aging pets: my friend's vet said to write down the things your pet enjoys and once they are no longer able to enjoy them, it's usually time. Especially when it comes to their food & treats. It's so hard to know, but at least it gives you something to monitor and help with the decision.
I agree, Tom hanks is not sexual. I watched a movie from the 70’s where you could hear Tom hanks character off screen having sex and all I could think was “Woody?”
Boys watching this episode now, I had no idea Dylan was going through the same thing I went through around that time last year. Had to put down my sweet kitty Franky, my best friend of 19 years, back in October. Rest in peace to our wonderful friends ❤️
The actual story is the Meta paid people a huge amount of money to use their likeness, they had them train an AI on their voice for a few hours and scanned their faces so when you go to start a chat, the AI looks like Mr Beast and sounds like Mr Beast but they give him a different name for some reason and make his shtick something completely different from what he normally does.
Dudesy is my other favorite podcast of two dudes shitting around. Glad they talked about them and hope Ben and Emil look further into what Dudesy has to offer
I actually get so annoyed when podcasters/youtubers do the thing where they "address" something serious or outside of the show related, but never actually SAY what they are referencing. I dont care how obvious it should be to the audience, it's not like saying it will summon beetlejuice. This podcast rarely assumes people know about topical events, because thats what most of the show is: informing us of that. Why for thus specific one are you shying back from saying what youre "talking" about??
Crazy. I googled "when is the time to put down your dog" mere HOURS before I clicked to watch this. He was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal cancer, and has started to not do so well. Exited to find out the answer from you both...
