Ms Vasquez is just a lawyer defending her client. This is what she has been paid to do, whether Depp is telling the truth or not. Elaine Bredehoft is one of the most respected lawyers in America (she has a huge list of accolades on her website), and I don't see any hysterical young girls hugging her outside her car or snapping pictures. It would be silly and unprofessional. This is a serious trial with serious allegations (rape with a glass bottle!!) for which people have been sent to prison. A little sobriety is necessary.

She's a perfectly competent lawyer, but you have a totally delusional view on this, she isn't 'determined to fight for truth and justice' because of this case, she was hired with the team. That's like saying Heard's team is determined to fight AGAINST truth and justice. Also, it's a common move for a legal team, when arguing against a woman, to have a female lawyer handle the aggressive role. A male lawyer going hard after a woman on the stand can come off bad, especially if Heard breaks down crying and tries to frame it like another man is attacking her. A woman being aggressive will typically cause the woman on the stand become frustrated, which we saw. She's a lawyer. This is court. This isn't a political debate or something.

That’s exactly how I talk to my Borderline Narcissist ex husband. It’s the only effective way to cut the bull💩.

Camille knows Heard is lying. Not just suspects, but knows. How does she know if she wasn't there? Because of the way they're going after Depp. From the substanceless witnesses that witnessed nothing, to the tricks her lawyers are playing in this trial. And I'll give an example of a big one. When taking Johnny's deposition before trial, Amber's lawyers asked him "Would you give (forget the persons name) a pill", speaking about one of his friends, and he said "I would". The question wasn't posed as a "Did you give X a pill", it was basically "Would you if they asked for one". Then in court they asked him if he did give that person pills or do pills with that person, and Johnny said no. Then they used that deposition transcript to call him a liar, when the questions had two completely different contexts. The point is, Camille sat there and watched how Amber's lawyers behaved for an entire week before she cross examined Amber. If she had any doubts as to Depp's innocence before that, they were alleviated by Amber's own lawyers behavior. From silly terms like "Megapint" to describe a glass of wine, to baseless objections to twisted fake gotcha questions, it would have become clear to her that Amber has no case and no defense, otherwise her lawyers wouldn't be sinking this low. Depp may have a drug problem, he may slam cabinets, he might show up late to set, but those don't equal physical abuse. And he did a lot of those things specifically because Amber was feeding him drugs and playing head games with him. Honestly, I think she was trying to kill Depp to get his money and everything else for herself, by putting extra doses of drugs in his food and stuff. I think she was really recording him high so that when she finally overdosed him, she'd have the recordings to say he had a drug problem. But then the "metoo" stuff came along, and she saw something she could elevate herself on, and then switched gears to try to make herself one of the faces of metoo. Much more reward than her original plan, with far less risk than committing murder.

What I've noticed is that, whenever Amber starts whipping up another word salad, Camille starts repeating her name gently but firmly: "Miss Heard... Miss Heard... Miss Heard," and that shuts Amber up and reorients her to Camille. Usually it takes three repetitions, sometimes four, but I think that, on some level at least, Camille knows that if anything can get Amber's attention, it's the sound of her name being said "respectfully" by someone. A very neat technique.

She scolded her and argued with her and I didn’t think it was appropriate. All you have to do is get the person to admit to the things you need to argue in closing. Highest skill is for them not to even realize it. No need to get out docs to prove to them they’re inconsistent with other witnesses. But Amber’s never been held accountable in her life, and I think the scoldings, shaming, and being nailed to the wall were cathartic for Johnny.

Equatorial Journey, I disagree. She challenged Amber, over and over again. It was an incredible example of what a strong cross examination should be. Amber attempted to look unshaken, but she most certainly was. She asked Camille to repeat questions (to give her more time to come up with an answer), and there is footage of Amber leaving the courtroom during a break, and she huffed out of there, pounding the side door open. She’s a master manipulator, and doesn’t bat an eye at making up lies, but Camille’s questions had her shaken!

@@cori7209 Look at Runkle of the Bailey, DUIguy, LawandLumber, and JamesfromCourt, they have been in the gallery, particularly James I believe has been there for a 2-3 weeks of court, and you will get a better idea of what's going on. There's many many more lawyers reacting and commentating for hours on this, like, LegalBytes, Emily Baker, and Rekieta Law(if you want to experience absolutely disgustingly beautiful autistic degeneracy in the chat). As a final note, if AH could've cried she would've but she can't, she knows it and her lawyers know it that's ideal to garner some sympathy. None of that even matters when she claims to have deep lacerations all over her arms and feet, with a bleeding personal area from certain avenues of abuse, and yet no treatment at all necessary, she wakes up and makes JD coffee and sees his finger has been cut off WHILE SHE'S BEEN BLEEDING FROM HER ARM, FEET LACERATIONS AND PERSONAL AREA, and yet not a single picture of any of her injuries at all, no medical records, nothing. In fact she was partying a day or two later because JD had allegedly kicked her off the island.

Eh, she isn't that humble. She had a bit of an attitude during the cross-examination, including towards Elaine Brederhoft whenever the latter asked some reasonable questions. (For example, Ms Vasquez wanted to cite a message from Amber Heard, but missed out two key lines providing context. When Ms. Bredehoft pointed this out, Ms. Vasquez got annoyed, even though it is a perfectly reasonable objection. Another time, Ms. Bredehoft simply requested a copy of a document, and Ms. Vasquez said, "I will' in a very mocking tone. Totally unnecessary. And that is not even considering some of the incoherent questions that Ms. Vasquez asked, such as suggesting that Amber Heard had written the snarky message on the window, but not posing an actual question. When Amber Heard requested the actual question being asked, Ms. Vasquez said nothing and moved on. This also happened on at least one other occasion.)
