These cookies are an easy, no bake recipe that is quick to make right on your stove top. A great recipe to make with the kids, this has been made for generations in our household. The ingredients are simple, sugar, cocoa powder, butter, milk, vanilla, peanut butter and quick oats. Within 20 minutes you can have these ready to serve without ever turning on your oven. These are a great cookie to make if your oven is occupied making other foods or if you’re trying to keep the kitchen cool in the summer. Making these cookies also uses less energy than pre-heating your oven and baking for 15 minutes or more like many standard cookie recipes.

Super! Have you been to the web page and tried any of the alternate versions? Meatballs, fish sticks, burger patties or chicken nuggets? With just a few adjustments it gives a totally different option.

I've been eating and making these for 50+ years. We started calling the 'Barf Cookies' and the name stuck (at least for my family). They are the best, you can't stop eating them, and they are very very easy and quick. Thanks for the video.

Love the name 🤣 it’s been 60 yrs plus that my mom made them for us and we used to fight over who got the spoon and got to clean out the pot. Great memories passed down over 4 + generations so far!

With our prepper pantry I try to make sure we have enough ingredients on hand to make these cookies for quite a while. They are our emergency treat cookies. If I remember right, you can use coconut oil in place of the butter and even mix up powdered milk to make the cookie ingredients entirely shelf stable. I can't remember for certain if coconut oil can be used so you might have to try it to be sure. I might try it. I haven't made these in awhile because I was on a weight loss journey and...well....I tend to eat way too many of these when I make them lol But you got me wanting to make them for my kids now. I'm sure I'll sneak a couple too :)

Yes, they are so delicious 😋 you can also keep powdered butter in the pantry for baking needs to go with the powdered milk. We’ve eaten half of what we made for the video so I totally understand 🤣😂😁😋

@@KeepingItRielwithMarilynSteve I just got my son off of his video game and had the stuff premeasured out. Told him to come help me make cookies. He's 16 with ADHD and OCD. So he's so scared he'll mess stuff up. But I had everything measured out and had him watch your video as he dumped things in. With a little reassurance he'll be making these on his own here soon. Close to half of ours are gone now too!
