thanks for sharing ..... Glenn Branca and now Drek Bailey .... I am glad that I found these guys ..... this type of music is hard to find even in internet age !
The true talent of Derek Bailey is missed by most. There's not many people who have ever played guitar, not from Eddie Van Halen, to Yngwie Malmsteen, to Randy Rhoads, that had Derek's ability to take such a high end guitar such as a 1963 Gibson ES175, and make it sound like a broken Jack-In-The-Box. Absolutely amazing that anyone can do that. Bravo!
i don't care what kind of music you listen to, i was simply answering your question. I'm a musician myself and i pride myself in having a vast appreciation for different genres. personally i don't see this as more than a random collection of annoying sounds, but who am i to decide what qualifies as music and what doesn't? i don't mean to justify the hostility you were referring to, only to help explain it for you.
All you have succeeded in explaining is that you find this "annoying" - you need to find out what is annoying you - clearly there is something up with you - fix that and then you can say with a bit more honesty that you pride yourself in having a vast appreciation for different genres - as things stand you don't have such a "vast appreciation" - however, you can get this, and you can start from here. . . . .
You are totally entitled to have your opinions and tastes, what you are not entitled is to judge other people's tastes and opinions. You'd better accept that there sincerely like this music.
