Derek Bailey - Lot 74 (1974) 

I was in 10th grade and 20 years from being ready to hear this music when this was recorded.

This is fantastic. I’ve played and recorder with Derek. This 1974 recording, he may have been experimenting with 2 amps. He always used his volume pedal, maybe 2 of those to send the sound to each amp, anyway, just fantastic, this is quite different from anything I’ve ever heard him do. There a guitarist, Gary Smith, Derek knew him, we played in NYC at The Tonic , Gary used 2 amps. Gary was also London based……

any clue how this was recorded? I'm guessing two mics (one closer, one "room" mic). I'm also guessing that bailey is constantly playing with the volume pedal , thats why we hear the sound changing between wet and dry (and L & R) when listening through headphones.
