I think Carr is a genuine person and people respect that. You never see him say anything negative about his coaches or teammates, he's always trying to build more trust with them and get better himself. You're right, that's leadership.
Oh he will keep pushing. All the way to the Super Bowl... You guys winning games dont mean anything if you guys can't make it to the playoffs or by the 1st round..
He's having fun because he knows he can trust the men around him. The men around him trust him because he always gives everything he has. DC never brags on himself, he only builds up his teammates and coaches. It's so cool to watch when an entire team truly works together.
@@RAIDERTONY323 He seems like the only one on ESPN that knows anything. The rest are just loud mouths that think their opinion is right if they yell it loud enough.
Carr and Gruden have a closer relationship than I originally thought they had with one another. Can’t wait to see how this unfolds when they’re neighbors next season in LV lol
Confident performance. Not arrogant or cocky just confident. That is good coaching and preparation after seeing Carr struggling the last 2 years tremendous improvement. Said and did all the right things Monday night. Chiefs will not recognize this Raiders team.
Two years later and I still keep watching this one. Definitely going to be a tough day when DC hangs up the cleats. He’s had his share of rough years and bad teams, but his devotion to his organization, teammates, and the game is unquestionable.
Man. DC man. I need you to keep that same energy man. Take these men as far as we can go. Loved the effort. Loved the leadership. Good game plan . Great execution
The good news is this young guy will be part of this organization for a long time. This is a speedbump but not the end - be glad he's part of this team and the culture they're building!
@@danebowen729 Not if he keeps trying to blow somebody up on every play. Love the intensity but he's gotta use his head, too. This game will use your body up quick.
I don't like the Raidas, BUT Derek Carr is having FUN. And I love the way he told Gruden, "I got you man. I told you. Not just today. Always man!" I love it when players love the sport. I'm so sick of the money aspect of it.
Yeah, he seems to take a step forward every year. If he plays like he did Monday consistently, and the o-line stays half as good as it looked Monday, DC will have a huge year and help get a bunch of wins. #4 going to be remembered with Plunkett and Stabler etc if he leads them to a Super Bowl, and he's earning respect the hard way. Pride and poise!
He is getting better can't deny it even without AB they will have a good season I'm thinking Carr did great Monday he's a good humble guy from what I've seen and can lead this team I think grudens starting to get the raiders turned around for the better I would love to see raiders win the Superbowl soon even tho I'm a die hard Patriots fan Tom Brady is my guy but love football and love to just watch great games so hopefully Carr keeps the wins coming
ItsSalo that boi tries to let that ball go in 3 seconds thanks to his brothers advice from playing in the nfl before him but he dangerous if he could get more time in the pocket
Carr haters are those that bought the AB jersey before he even played a game. This dude is the best QB we've had since Gannon and people act like the Raiders have had great QBs all along.
This. I Heard raider fans trashing Carr begging for him to be released and I reminded them of who they had before him. They must want to go back to the days of Andrew Walter, Aaron Brooks, Jamarcus Russell, Bruce Gradkowski, etc.
@@soliisoul3172 Plunkett is my favorite. Love ALL the great Raiders QBs but people got to give Plunkett more love. He should have been in the HoF years ago, WTF? Anyway Carr stands right next to him for dealing with adversity and just keep working, and that's what makes him great, and a good leader. Teammates and coaches know he always shows up & works hard. Natural talent (and DC has it) is one thing, but that positive attitude he shares with the very best is what will really make the difference.
💯FACTS ! When the Raiders drafted Carr I was like this dude is gonna be a great leader and savior of that franchise. Played at Fresno State and Gruden loved every bit of him when he had him on his QB camp.
The southern accent that many people have in the central valley can be directly attributed to people from southern states coming to California in the late 1920's and early 1930's after the depression and the "dust bowl" farm famines destroyed the farmers and farm hands ability to make a living where they were from. They used to teach that kind of stuff to kids when I was in school. Not sure what they taught you.
Panthers fan here but Carr is my favorite QB in the league. Absolutely love how mentally tough he is. Nothing but respect to Raider nation. Good luck this season.
I LOVE his confidence and swagger, big difference from last year. He knows system better n sees field clearer, expect MVP like season! This is DC we know!! RaiderNation!
Really looking forward to Gabe Jackson coming back, he will be a big bonus to squad that's already very, very good. I can do without Incognito, though... I don't trust that lunatic has-been one bit. Cut him loose before he does some insane bullshit again, we don't need him. Send RI to New England ;)
Dystopia Gear Richies talent was never questioned on the field only off the field. Dude was a pro bowl every year he played. Damn straight he plays when he gets back that dude will make Kolton Miller so much better and give him attitude at left tackle. Stupid to let talent walk especially when they wanna be here smh 🤦♂️
@@raidernation7427 Right, and DC has taken a step forward and gotten better (both physically and mentally) every single year even despite the injuries or a bad o-line or whatever. I think it's because he puts in the hard work and really loves being on that team. It's fun to watch that.
I don't know why so many Raider fans or so-called experts always give Carr a hard time. All he does is work hard and show up fighting. How can anyone doubt this man?
They play very different but DC does remind me of another #4 I grew up watching, Favre. And what they have in common more than anything else is that pure love and excitement for the game.
This is what a TRUE PROFESSIONAL looks like Derek Carr should be the FACE of the NFL! Theirs no BETTER PERSON & PLAYER COMBINED into ONE! We LOVE you DC and the way you COMPETE & CARRY YOURSELF! Doing the BLACK & SILVER PROUD, Raider Nation Raise Up!
I honestly thought Mayock and Gruden had lost their minds with all the off-season drama. But this team came out looking prepared and professional. Pride and poise! Thank goodness they got rid of AB just in time.
Derek Carr: We love AB... and wish him the best. In spite of whatever adversity he and his teammates have endured, these are words spoken by a man who embodies truly good sportsmanship and always brings positivity to the game. That’s why I’ve been a fan, from day one.
Derek Carr is better then just a football player, he is such a great human being. The characteristics and personality of this man are very inspiring , and I am so proud that he is my quarterback. Thank you Derek for being someone we can all look up to!.
I was at this game! Section 121 row 6. Darren waller caught a huge pass right in front of me. After the interview derek carr threw the game ball into the stands, a lucky fan caught it. Truly amazing night.
What a class act. So proud to have this man as the leader of our team and face of the franchise. Always conducts himself with grace. Always. That’s commitment to excellence.
CARR has 18,998 yards 123 TD'S 53 INT going into his 5th season HOFer #'s ONLY Peyton manning and Dan marino have those numbers in that time NOW he REALLY has WEAPONS and the RAIDERS are going to be TOP 10 DEFENSE 👀THAT'S MY QB!! ☄
Texans fan here. Seeing a motivated Derek Carr is a scary sight. He looks like a man on mission with something to prove. AB woke this man up. I look forward to our upcoming game this year.
