He was 26 and I was 23. I was always very confident that he was taking all the right precautions, but he died wearing all of his gear… Just be careful🙏

Hi!! I love that you shared this experience with everyone and your teeth look great! I work at a dental lab and agree that you definitely need a mouth guard to protect those new teeth. If you haven’t bought one yet, don’t buy an over the counter boil and bite one. Those don’t work as well and don’t last as long. The lab I work at makes sports guards called Playsafe mouth guards. They’re custom made to fit you and there are different levels of protection based on what sports you play. You’ll have to go to a dentist to get one made but If you do decide on that then get the light pro level.

At age 48 I had dental work done on my upper front teeth, which were crowded and caused the lateral incisors to come in crooked. I became deeply self-conscious and couldn't bear to look at myself in a mirror even as a pre-teen. One in high school a boy jokingly called me 'Dracula' and it cut me to the core. He was a good friend and remained a good friend, and I should have let him know how much it hurt me. My parents couldn't afford braces, much to my dismay. I learned to smile in a way that kept my upper teeth hidden for the most part. The central incisors were perfectly straight, was were the rest of my teeth. Finally I took the plunge and got crowns, and have never regretted doing so. It's now 23 years later and I still sometimes smile in a way that hides my upper teeth, out of long habit.

The teeth look fabulous, even if they're temporary. It's awesome to have a dentist/cosmetic surgeon in the family for real. We all know how important it is to take care of our teeth. If they get damaged it plays on your confidence and emotional well being. So having noce teeth makes all the difference in the world. Excited for you to get the real ones in.💯💞🙋‍♀️

Love this! Some people don’t understand that getting work done helps us be more confident! I’m 25 and had glasses since I was 4 years old so last year I got lasik eye surgery and it was the best decision I ever made! So much more confident now!

I was a addict for years i have 7 years clean now.. But I ended up with rotten missing teeth... And i trusted a dentist near me he pulled all my teeth and gave me dentures that dont fit so im still stuck without teeth but at this point its been like 4 years without them and i dont even notice and everyone that knows me and is around me literally doesnt even notice.. Its better than the nubs and one toof and pain I was in.

I’m getting my teeth worked on, the dentist is going t remove a few teeth that have broken off & fix my gums. Especially the gums in front of my two upper teeth. They are really swollen & split. The issue with my upper gums is do from one of my medications. Not sure which medicine because I’m on a lot of blood pressure medications to help my blood pressure. I had a stroke in 2014 caused by blood pressure! Watch your blood pressure people! High blood is a silent killer! I’m having my teeth fixed & I’ve been thinking of getting snap on veneers, yours look amazing & look. Natural! I haven’t been able to smile like I was used to & I’m embarrassed about my teeth! I have a couple of broken teeth on the upper teeth, doesn’t look attractive 😓

From someone who has had to get most of the baby teeth pulled out by the dentist ( because my teeth are slow and wouldn’t come out on their own) plus four adult teeth ( because my mouth was two small for all my teeth) I can totally relate to the weird numb and swollen lip feeling Derek had! But the plus side was I couldn’t eat hot food so I got to eat ice cream for dinner!

I had Veneers put on 5 of my upper front teeth. Had that done 8 years ago. In 2019 the tooth right in the middle of my front teeth rotted behind the veneer.. And yes I looked after my teeth. My dentist said the dentist who put them on put that one on too tight and it rotted out the tooth. I lost that tooth. Had to get a flipper tooth (false tooth) will never get veneers again. I know the dentist who put them on was at fault and I am sure other people with veneers will be ok. But it devastated me to lose that middle front tooth permanently. They could not put another tooth in because I do not have enough gum there to drill in a tooth.

Ooo I wish I commented on this video instead of the other one lol. I’m so behind! Thank you for sharing your experience. They look amazing!! I’m 30 and have some fake teeth. I cried when I got mine a few years ago. Things happen. The stigma around Dentures or veneers being just for old people is annoying. I wish I lived closer! I’d go to your cousins dental office! My dentist didn’t explain anything, didn’t show me my X rays, nothing. ☹️I’m in Virginia so if anyone knows a good dentist let me know lol
