I think it’s so perfect how you mentioned that not disclosing that she was the face of the Laneige blue is deceptive. Even if she did love it before now we question if she is biased. I had this same thought when some OG RU-vidrs were complaining about how audiences wanted affiliate codes disclosed as such. Because I thought it was the same thing. These channels are using these people who are the faces of the campaign should also disclose this information

Most of this thing is an ad. She sprays perfume at the end. And coincidentally it's a newer fragrance from Armani, a brand she also works with.

Honestly, she is not someone who had her skin care all figured out apparently, and she probably was introduced to a bunch of their products when she was hired as their model. It's not really all that weird that she would use their products, and they might work well for her. I totally get that she's probably biased, but when you are the face of a brand, they gave you a ton of stuff. She probably wouldn't use those products if she hadn't worked for them, but I bet she just is comfortable with them now.

I have a tendency to wash my face with only water in the morning. I like to use a balm cleanser followed by a lighter cream cleanser in the evening though. It's become like a little self-care ritual to take the day off before winding down to rest and sleep.

Depends on the cleanser consistency - I use a cleansing balm, so that works best on dry skin then washed off with water. I use coconut oil to gently remove makeup but then cleanse thoroughly (I don’t wear much makeup so it works well for me, and it’s inexpensive).

I think you guys are looking into this a little bit too much. She admitted that she wasn't really sure about skin care before, so when she got hired to model for the brand, she was probably introduced to a bunch of products. If she hadn't been hired by them, she probably wouldn't have found them on her own, but it's completely reasonable that they are what she uses now because that's what she knows. There are brands of skin care and make up that I only use because I was introduced to them in sample beauty bags like IPSY, and I liked them and kept using them. I'm sure she got a bunch of free skin care from them, and they became part of her routine. I will agree though, she should have mentioned that she was given those products because they hired her as a face.

I just wanted to comment on the periolar dermatitis. I also got it when I was around 24 and doctors could not figure it out so I tried to fix it on my own. Finally I kept reading that diaper rash cream helped other people. So I decided to try zinc as a vitamin supplement instead of topically since it's hard to walk around with white stuff on your skin that doesn't absorb. The dermatitis faded after the vitamin built up in my system after a month or two and has not returned. It has been 10 years now and I don't even take zinc regularly anymore. Does science back up the zinc theory Dr. Idriss?

hi i dont know if youre still struggling with this but I used to swear off dermatologists when i was younger cause I have done multiple things such as: tazorac, benzoyl peroxide washes, epiduo, laser, etc. and although the laser did help, it didn't get rid of my acne or my VERY DARK scars (it did work a bit, but i also pick whiteheads cause they skeeve me out). I honestly feel like the combo my derm gave me of differin gel (which i purchased on my own and she okayed me using prior to Tretinoin) and winlevi + consistent sunscreen use everyday is preventing breakouts and helping my scars fade faster than anything I have done the past 10 years. I also use the cosrx snail mucin (inflammatory for many but not for me) & rosehip seed oil from the ordinary mixed in with my cetaphil facecream. My cleanser is the cerave hydrating one and I don't really exfoliate extra anymore. And I'm already seeing great results with scarring & texture just after 3 weeks of using....so I really recommend doing your own research and then going to a dermatologist, if you can, with knowledge. Even if you just stay consistent with Differin Gel + sunscreen and simple cleansers/moisturizers, i'm pretty sure you'd get amazing results. Just my 2 cents!!

I avoid products with these locking ingredients like vaseline, mineral oil, dimethicone and the like, because they don't work for me in a long run. I prefer natural oils, butters or glycerin, but as mentioned above it's important to hydrate the skin before putting on anything that locks the water inside. My favourite is argan oil because it's very universal, light and helps my scars to fade but of course I don't want to promote it as something that fits everybody, it's best to try it out whether it works for you or not.

To take my makeup off I put it on dry and then rinse off the makeup, then I wet my face and wash it properly (again) without any makeup.

The way I wash my face: 1. Wash my hands 2. Wash my face with just water several times, especially my eyes (whether it's dry in the morning or has micellar water residue) 3. Prep the cleanser with my hands till it becomes foamy 4. Rub it on my face then rinse it. I thought everyone did it that way and it makes me uncomfortable to see people apply cleanser or soap on dry skin 🙃🙃 20:16 SO TRUE! I remember I had a roommate who would pick at her face every single day. I bought her a small ball with a smiley face to play with so she wouldn't pick at her face anymore...too bad it ended up becoming her cat's toy 🙃😂

I love watching your videos because learned so much from all of them!! My entire skin care routine has improved so much AND I learned why certain Laneige products I used in the past tends to dry out my face so easily.

I'm so sick and tired of the celebrities with perfect skin lying they had terrible acne. That's not true, or she is delusional! Just look at her skin. She is here to promote the brand and that's it, her skincare is not thought through at all, she doesn't know how to pronounce the name of the pads or what's in them, she doesn't mention any of the ingredients... just giggles and tries to be sweet. And lies to promote Laneige.

I have no idea whether she's lying or not, but it's perfectly possible for someone to go from having a lot of acne to having clear skin...

I heard recently that these beauty routines are edited to have a filter on top of them, so that may be why. I'm also a little skeptical however if she did have cystic acne we just may not be able to see it through the edited video

What you said about rubbing your eyes and how it can cause ptosis has made me depressed haha. I noticed (now in my 30's), that my eyelid started to droop a bit, and I have since been so self conscious about it. I would really scrub my face when I was younger (including my eyes). Ahhh wish I had known that!

I use unscented Ponds cold cream to clean my face, and I put the Ponds on dry skin and wipe off with cotton rounds. After that, I spray distilled water on a clean cotton round and wipe over my whole face with it. Then, I moisturize my face all over with Vanicream for sensitive skin. After that is absorbed, I put Aveeno Calm & Restore Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30 sunscreen on my face for daytime use. This routine has helped my rosacea problem subside.

I thought she was adorable and interesting. Finding out that she is the spokesperson feels so manipulative. Why is she giggling like a young teen uncertain of skin care and sweetly goofy? That she made no reference of her connection to the brand and her behaving like a teen/young-20 year old is when she wasn’t credible to me. I’m dropping out now.

Love all your videos! I’m a total skin nerd and I appreciate the science behind your videos :) I was hoping you could do a review of U Beauty products?? Their Super Hydrator seems to have a crazy amount of hyaluronic acid in it ??? And can one product really replace toners, Vit C, AHA’s etc??

this is the second reaction of yours I've seen where the people pick up the product with the back of theior nail. I've had natural long nails for the last 15+ years and I always use my finger joint to pick up product lol like the length of my finger immediately behind my nail by bending my finger idk if that makes sense. i find it fascinating t see people using their nail itself, ive never gravitated towards it i guess

Shireen, its so interewting that u brought up PTOSIS I had no idea it was due to rubbing your eyes 😭 one of my eyelid tends to droop which makes me struggle with eye makeup ALOT. Is there a way to fix it? Its my biggeat insecurity. No one ever pointed it out to me in rral life, but its crystal clear in photos

Why would vasiline be bad under your eyes if you have skin damage? And by skin damage do you mean crummy aging? I was an eye rubbing person. All this info the fetuses get are so fortunate so they won’t end up like wrinkly raisins in twenty years time. Cheers!

I don't do make up and I don't use a mineral sunscreen but if you do, I recommend using an oil based cleanser first before wetting your hands or your face and then gradually applying more water as you go because it would take everything out better this way. I used to use a mineral sunscreen and this was the best method for me. Also whenever I did eye makeup this worked wonders on getting the makeup out. Now I only use a chemical sunscreen and therefore I don't feel the need to use an oil based cleanser, so I just wash my face first, then get the water based cleanser, foam it a little on my hand and then put it all over my face and massage it until it dries and i wait for a minute so that it gets the time to work. This is the best way for me to apply cleanser.

What a fun video! I do use the Laneige lip mask, but that’s it. Thank you for the tip on putting the Vitamin C Pique packet contents in water! I tried to suck it out of the packet and my husband was horrified when he saw me because it leaked out the corner of my mouth and it looked like blood was dripping down my face from my mouth! I will try it mixed with water next time. 😊 💦

Hyaluronic Acid products. Drives me crazy. I hope she never shoots a movie in a high elevation with super dry air. Those HA products will only make her skin drier.
