I started on Dermatica a few years ago because of your videos about it (thanks 😊), and have also noticed that as soon as they took out the clindamycin it all came back for me. Just wondering if you managed to figure out whether you got any control from only tretinion/niacinamide in the long term? Or if it was just the clindamycin clearing your skin? Feel like I'm constantly in purge mode and it's been 6 months on tretinion!
I followed you to dermatica and love you for it, so I'm so gonna follow on your new skin journey. Thank you for introducing me to dermatica and letting me know I don't need to spend hundreds to fix my skin Will forever love you for that ❤ 💖 💕 😘
Hey! I’m looking forward to your new journey. I recently stopped my Dermatica treatment as I was prescribed oral antibiotics and a separate topical treatment. Dermatica worked wonders for my skin too!! I used Tretinoin & clindamycin as well as Adapalene & clindamycin beforehand. I can see from documenting my journey that the combination of retinoid and clindamycin was great. But whenever the clindamycin was taken out of my prescription my skin went back to its usual ways. Which makes sense as the topical antibiotic was heavily helping my acne.
You've had a similar journey to me then! I do think Dermatica is great as a starting point, but if the clindamycin is just masking the acne then the results will only ever be temporary. It'll be interesting to see how my skin reacts from now on xxx
