People don’t know that there’s a difference between the US and UK one . US has benzoyl peroxide and is a spot treatment while UK one has salicylic acid and is for the whole face people need to read the ingredients and instructions. Even the one with salacylic acid is exfoliating and for some people drying so they shouldn’t use it every day if they can’t tolerate it.

The EU version of Effaclar Duo (+) is for the whole face. Read the instructions people, the US one is the spot treatment

the reason why we’ve used effaclar duo over our whole faces is that the product’s instructions literally tell us to do that 🥲 i tried that a few times but found it to be drying and the texture of it would pill up when applied all over the face, especially alongside other skincare products. so PLEASE only use this on spots! and don’t use it too many times a day and this can mess up your skin barrier otherwise. but great spot treatment for sure.

Are you from the US? The US version is the spot treatment and the EU one is for the whole face. They contain different ingredients. The EU one has salicylic acid the US one has Benzol peroxide.

i've been using this on my entire face for years now. it's my go to holy grail. 🙏🏼 i have acne prone skin. what i do it put some on my pointer finger and dap tiny small little dots around my entire face. i don't use much at all. then rub it all in. i do this every morning. make sure to follow with moisturizer and especially spf bc benzoyl makes your skin much more sensitive to the sun. 😊 this is one of the main products that cleared up my severe cystic acne. now i use it more of a preventive measure and also to get rid of any breakouts i may have. ❤

Ooooh, be careful. I've been told that the interaction of shelving chemicals and formulas can cause the product to become less effective or even cause irritations. Just be careful, please. I know some people who mix up retinol and moisturiser in hopes it will work, but it just doesn't. Anyways have a good day

I have the non US version with salicylic acid and it’s been my go-to spot treatment for a decade! Perfect for dry, sensitive eczema prone skin.

Had never seen a doctor taking the time to explain things like proper way of using products.❤ big fan. My favorite though (no one asked) 😂 is Skinceuticals Blemish + Age defense. In my opinion their best serum and for breakouts in adults.

I suddenly got confused as i used this one but with spf 30 ,by my dermatologist and she told me to use it on my whole face ,now i realize there are differences in Europe and USA . So i was doing the right thing

When I have any pimples around my jaw line I use BP specialty Neutrogena. The next day they are gone. It works. Even once a week as a preventative measure. No need to spend that cost. Mine is 5.99

As previously stated the EU version does say to use as a moisturiser. That being said, although this gave me fabulous results, I have sensitive skin and I did end up with contact dermatitis. Maybe I’ll try using this as a spot treatment instead.

I know it’s a spot treatment but i had really bad acne when i started using it so i put it on my entire face and even though my face cleared up i continue to do the same… just depends on how much your skin can tolerate but it’s cheaper as a spot treatment :)

same!! this product was a hugeee life saver to clearing up my severe cystic acne!! i swear benzoyl is god sent 🙏🏼 😌🤣 now that my severe acne is gone, i use it still over my whole face to keep breakouts at bay or to get rid of the occasional break outs i still get! but yeah if someone doesn't have acne all over their whole face or isn't acne prone, i def would recommend using it all over !! everyone's skin is different is the biggest thing to take away from this imo 😊

I used that small of an amount on a pimple and still got the rash. Took weeks to go away. I want to like this stuff but after it happening twice I had to toss the product

@@PAMELAPORTER-ci7mr it could’ve very well be an allergic reaction. I got a weird bumpy patch in the exact spot I used it on. I didn’t want to think it was the product but I got the same type of rash the 2nd time I used it (which I tried using again months after the first time) but I think with the help of retinol I finally got the rash go away. But it Stinks cause I wanted that product to work. I wouldn’t consider my skin to be sensitive though

I use it to my whole face because otherwise I get pimples all over. I went to many dermatologists and once treated they always come back. Also in EU we have different ingredients and mine also has spf 30 and actually says to use it on the whole face.

That is the old formula which is no longer manufactured. The new one is called Effaclar Duo+M, and this you can use for the entire face. It is not a spot treatment anymore.

I used this one some 15yrs ago when I was a teen, but it was definitely a full face application. And I was following my dermatologist's indications, written on paper. But it seems that the EU version might have a different formulation?
