I've received a few requests to create some affordable skincare routines, so we're starting off with this nighttime skincare routine for dry skin. Love this video! After watching, I bought the first cleanser off Amazon and plan to buy the others. I have dry skin so this video was perfect for my skin type. I love the DHC cleansing oil. If you emulsify with a little water it comes off leaving skin completely clean with no need for a double cleanse. Thanks Dr. Sam!

I've been using the aveeno itch relief balm (in the big tub) on my face the last few nights and I love it as a face moisturizer. I use it on top of my tretinoin. It is moisturizing and occlusive. Big tub for only $15 will last ages. I have been love the Bioderma cleansing oil you recommended in another video. You get a lot of it for the price. I find it works better lathered with a little bit of water.

I used to use the CeraVe Night cream but it started to sting my skin a little. I switched to Cetaphil Night Cream (redness reliever) and it's AMAZING! Feels like a super expensive cream, never causes breakouts. I use it twice a day, not just p.m.

The Cetaphil cleanser comes in a *fragrance -free version. It’s for Sensitive Combo to oil, it’s the only one without *masking Fragrance. I searched all over and found it at target. They did not have it at my CVS or Walgreens.

I sometimes double cleanse with this cetaphil gentle cleanser when I don't wear makeup. Always a go to 😉

Per Dr. Shereen Idriss, I use Cetaphil as well, and if a double cleanse I start with the Bioderm Sensibio Micellar Water, so refreshing and it removes even eye makeup and sometimes that's all you need (if you didn't wear makeup that day).

In Fiji one Cerave Face wash for instance the Hydrating on that i use costs $30FJD. The Retinol of Cerave here in Fiji costs about $60FJD. Its very expensive for people outside the US !.

Aquafor is the absolute best!!! I mix it with my moisturizer everyday. I’ve tried so many “ultra hydrating” moisturizers and they don’t work on my extremely dry skin. Aquafor is where it’s at!

Yes! Love an effective and affordable routine. The biggest game changer for my dry, sensitive skin has been Epiceram- I rarely get that right dry feeling anymore. It’s like the Epiceram has helped waterproof my skin from the inside out

I am 68 with normal to dry at times skin. I am balm clenching first since I now wear spf daily. 2nd cleanse is gentle La Roche. I also use tretinoin and Paula’s Choice 2% bha. How should I use the tret and bha? I do use the Cereve night cream.

It is all about formulation. Have you seen any of her other videos? She might be presenting budget products here but she clearly uses the expensive stuff. She praises skinceuticals vitamin C that costs $160+. And she emphasizes they have basically patented a formula that no-one can imitate and it is the holy grail vit c that produces the best results. So there’s your answer. It isn’t just about mixing ingredients you know. I use both budget and expensive. I would say spend your money on actives like vit c and retinoid/retinol and save on cleansers and moisturizers.

I am feeling lucky to get this facewash. The riceberry hydrating face wash is the best face wash for pigmentation. This diminishes my dark spots. This is the best facial cleanser for combination skin. And this riceberry face wash is totally natural.

Great video. Basic routine...I'm a skin care addict and there are so many k beauty products that are also under $20, rarely over $30. For anti-aging I assume one needs Retin-A. I use Renova and get it online very cheap. Maybe do a video using K beauty products. They are usually so much better and cheaper than American produced skin care. p.s. Where do you get your highlights (beautiful, in your hair), I know the Danville area very well if that is where you're located.
