Theo is literally the cutest baby I have ever seen and I also have a nephew so that is saying something! I love how he looks at you. Just melts my heart.
Always look forward to your videos, but I love the different type of video content, Dr. Ellis! Your son is simply perfection! Love seeing all your recommendations for different things as well!
I love seeing your routines! It was also so nice to hear about a husband and wife sharing parental responsibilities instead of it all being put on the mother; it gives me some hope
PS- I'd love love love a video on how you do it all (I know you don't "do it all" no one can, but how you balance being a wife, mom, Dr. house work stuff, exercise, hobbies, etc)
You're an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your precious time with us. I've been curious about Nutrafol since seeing it in my Derm's office. My hair could use a boost.
I love that your supplement includes nettle and shatavari! 🌿 I always make nettle infusions postpartum until the child weans. Great stuff! I was born and raised in Nor Cal, and that is one beautiful garden! ❤
Nice vlog !!! Can you do a day in a life of a dermatologist vlog where you showcase the kind of diseases that you help treat and the different procedures that you perform it would really give many of us insights on dermatology especially medical students
This was such a nice video to watch. Theo is so cute. I don’t have kids yet, but the idea of one day mom and one time dad gets up early sounds really good. I don’t know why but I never came over this idea yet. So, I take that as a note for my future… 😅
Theo is a cutie! It’s so great to see you’re still nursing him; I think it’s pretty rare for moms to nurse these days. I’m still nursing my daughter, who recently turned one. Do you still pump at work? If not, how did you wean off the pump? I’m trying to figure this out; I also enjoy nursing, but I’m getting tired of pumping.
Love watching your videos. You are so lovely in all the ways 😉 and I appreciate the simplicity and realness. Hoping to see that travel make-up video soon as I took so much from your previous travel video!
I can’t believe your eyelashes, they are really long, are they extensions or are you just super lucky? Theo looked adorable, as does your house, can you tell just a little bit of Brit envy lol. Thank you for sharing with us all x😊
I have fine hair an use the same hair oil, does not weigh down. Sometimes while my hair is in braids I take a drop of the oil and just use in on the ends beyond the end hair band. I find even though that is extremely concentrated and ends do not look oily in the long run.
Love this kind of video, It gives me motivation to take care of myself. Thank you for showing a more realistic mom life, especially getting ready in a short amount of time, lol ❤😁
Great video! Really enjoyed watching how your weekend morning comes together. Am going to have to try the avocado toast . . . looks delicious! What cappuccino maker do you use and is it one you would recommend?
How cute! Question: My grandson is 21 months old, and when he feeds himself, it's everywhere but in his mouth. How'd you teach your little boy to eat so well?
I was so happy to see you did one of these day in the life videos. I have a son just a bit younger than yours, so I have followed your entire pregnancy and baby journey and I am continuing it to toddlerhood. I can’t articulate why, but I love seeing your life and style, skin as well as non skin related.
I really want to try Nutrafol. Wish it wasn’t so pricey but if it works it will be worth it ! Do you take any other supplements on a regular basis? What are your thoughts on Heliocare?
Hi Dr. Ellis! I go for half hour runs in the morning outdoors, would you put in sunscreen for just that half hour or do you think it’s ok to just wait til after I shower?
Nutrafol aside, what does eating protein do for hair growth? Not trying to come off as a food dogma expert but that breakfast didn't have much protein, if any at all.
How do you find time to clean, declutter, organize, etc, pay yr bills, bills, read emails, etc? Someone has to clean that big house and maintain the yard. Cannot trust workers nowadays.
Love it! But PLEASE stop feeding him soy milk! Soy milk is terrible for you - and especially for kids. Most of it is super processed, made of a lot of unnatural fillers, and contain phytoestrogens. High levels of estrogen in general have been linked to breast cancer. The phytic acids in soy milk bind to iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium and potassium, which then forms a complex that can't be absorbed by the intestines. At his age, he needs the most bioavailable nutrients as possible through whole foods, like fruits, veggies, goat and cow dairy, and eggs. As far as your diet, eating carbs and fats together, ESPECIALLY for breakfast, is a good way to slow down your metabolism and unnecessarily train your body to hang on to fat. Instead, save most of your fats until the evening time before bed. A good rule of thumb is to eat lean proteins sources like chicken and turkey and carbs during the day, then switch to fats and proteins in the evening. One of my favorite evening snacks is Greek yogurt with fresh berries, a drizzle of local honey, and a little bit of cashew or almond butter. That gets you about 20-30 g. of protein, 9-10 g. of good, saturated fat, satiates your hunger and gives you enough slow-digesting fat throughout the night to maintain anabolism until the morning. But never eat fats and carbs together. One of the worst things you can eat that destroys your metabolism is like an apple with peanut butter/almond butter, or (ahem) avocado toast. While both are great foods by themselves, eating them together will wreak havoc on your digestive health.
As far as sunscreen, I have figured out (I think) that the higher the content of zinc oxide, the drier my skin gets (in spots). Lately, my chin has been bad. Have you ever heard of this happening? Great vlog video by the way!
