When I started listening to him 2017, and of course read the comments about how he was going "to be blown up one day" and how great he was. And he is. Then today at a Walmart in Southern California where I live, there was this voice coming over the intercom. At first, I remember thinking that sounds sound so familiar, Is that Dermot Kennedy... nah...and of course it was Dermot singing Better Days. I couldn't believe it I thought to myself, somehow his music just doesn't belong in a "Walmart" Here's what everybody had said would happen... still the commercialism of it somehow bothered me. He's so deserving of all the success he comes into, I just felt like I wanted to keep him to myself just a little bit longer🥰 I'm sure the rest of you can understand what I'm talking about.
I remember that i wrote a comment how the song could be so much better lyrics and music wise. But I don't know how the song got stuck into my head today and now I can't get over it. Amazing artist

For a song that's usually so empty, he managed to cram as much soul into as it any other performance of his. He is a true talent and I hope he stays true and doesn't sell out like the rest of these washed up pop artists. His music touches people in ways no one can even dream of doing so. His lyrics, his music and his notes and cadences are all unmatched.
