It never fails to make me cry when he takes a moment to sing a capella with the audience. He's done it at every live show I've seen, and doing that in a room with him in Chicago was such a spiritual experience.

Dermot Kennedy is such an amazing inspiration. His voice, his lyrics, melody -- he has it all. I traveled from Florida, USA to Ireland and to Malahide Castle to see this concert live! It was Epic !! Grand !! I also went to Belfast the day before for his concert there. I love your beautiful voice, smile, and personality -- you represent Ireland superbly ! I can't wait to see you again. Also in Germany Dermot Kennedy songs are very well known and loved. They are on the radio every day. But when I say, I went to a Dermot Kennedy concert, people say, 'Uh Who? So, I have come to the bold conclusion that there might be something wrong with making an Irish name stick in the memory of Germans??? I'm working on progress. LOL
In 2021 I decided” ohhh look, he’s playing at a castle in Ireland. Lemmie buy tickets and maybe it will work out that i can go…” one of the best Dermot shows I have seen( and I’ve been to many). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am so happy to have had the chance to see him (literally 😃) play in a much smaller venue a few years ago and he was so fantastic, his voice made my cry.
There is no other artist on this planet like Dermot Kennedy. From his incredible voice to lyrics that put most other artists to shame - not to mention how clear it is that he loves what he does - Dermot is one of those once-in-a-generation kind of singers.
