It's not always beautiful. I think when he says "What have I done" he realizes that it's not all rainbows and butterflies. Just my interpretation/experience.... "This feeling is fleeting"... "Good God I know it's dangerous"... "

I’ve had this on repeat since last night. My husband and I are music lovers, have been married 14 years and often dance around the house.... I played him this song and he said “it sounds like us” and we danced alone in the kitchen, our 4 kids upstairs, while we swayed, each in our own minds silently remembering when we met and that feeling of falling and knowing “holy crap this is it” He asks “What Have I Done” with such conviction in his voice. I felt the entire song. It’s very stirring. ❤️ Well done Dermot! Thank you for this.

I was so lucky to met my best friend and my lover, 18 years ago in middle school. She passed away a few month ago. We used to listen to your soulful songs together. It's a shame SONGWRITERS like Dermot are not appreciated anymore. He is probably top 5 best songwriters out right now in my honest opinion. I've only discovered him this year and I'm disappointed that I didn't discover him sooner. Without Fear is my top album of the year followed by Lewis Capaldi's debut. Also it's an awesome album title. This song is my favorite followed by Outnumbered.

My son age 24 said "mum you will like this music" i am age 44 (not too over the hill) and he then took me to SWG3 Glasgow recently and he was right, loved every song esp this one, so nice to have spent time with my "wee boy" too who bought me the CD which i listen to when driving my car and i am able to 4get about my worries and wows in that moment so thank you xxx

Never thought I would meet him in the Army, I thought for sure I was not needing saving. But when we embraced eachother and they way he spoke. Wirds so kind I could tell my heart was breaking for him. He stood behind me, and broke rank just to get a grasp of my hand. And I almost fell. His spirit touched mine and I fell. Fell for him and it hurt. My mind would wonder "what have you done?" We were not ready to be together, so we fought against time to try. And still fighting many distance away
