READ THIS. Digital slides for these 100 classic dermpath cases are available here: bit.ly/3ihWeih. Recorded during live dermpath review by me and Dr. Rajendra Singh (founder of pathpresenter) in NYC in June 2018. It's a 4 hr marathon, but we hope pathology/dermatology residents & dermatopathology fellows will find it useful during board exam preparation.
HUGE thanks to Dr. Diane Brackett for taking screenshots to recreate the text slides with corresponding pic of each entity. Download here: PDF (70 MB) bit.ly/2V4tsIJ or PPT (550 MB) bit.ly/3eoJHYz.
HUGE thanks to my awesome UAMS medical students who typed transcript for ENTIRE video (~50,000 words!). Download the entire transcript here: bit.ly/2WwCwsj.

This video is for educational purposes, not formal medical advice/consultation. We do not have special inside knowledge of the content of board examinations. This video is subjectively labeled "board review" because we believe these entities are potentially testable; we do not know if they will actually show up on board exams.

As a practicing Derm 10 years out, I find these videos reinforcing my clinical skills. In residency there is just too much to learn in 3 years. Now that I’ve seen a decade of clinic, it is so much easier to visualize these findings.

Need closed captions? Download text transcript of entire video here: bit.ly/2WwCwsj. HUGE thanks to my awesome UAMS medical students who typed the transcript for this ENTIRE 4+ hour video (nearly 50,000 words!) to make closed captions available. Unfortunately, I talk so fast that it seems that RU-vid cannot sync the timing of the closed captions with what I'm saying during my portion of the video (sorry!). If you need closed captions and are having trouble with timing of them, just download the document at the link above and search for the entity name to see what I'm saying.

Yeah lymphomas are difficult for me still! I have plans to have my friend and colleague Dr. Jakki Junkins Hopkins as a guest on my channel in near future. She’s a cutaneous hemepath guru so it should be enlightening for all of us (me included!). I also highly recommend Antonio Subtil’s cutaneous lymphoma book. It’s less than $100 and is outstanding. I have a video review of it on my channel. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-17EajfRtXqM.html

slightly unrelated to this, but I just started my residency (so super junior resident), and will be starting my first dermatopathology rotation and was wondering what book I should buy/ use as a reference. I've heard variable opinions: Rapini, Elston, Barnhill, McKee...I would love your opinion/suggestions!
@JMGardnerMD
@JMGardnerMD 6 лет назад
So many great books. I’m a big fan of Rapini. Many of my residents like the Elston book. I haven’t had time to really look over it much but Dirk Elston is an awesome teacher so I suspect it is great. For large Dermpath reference book, McKee is my favorite. Dr. McKee is also very active on Facebook. Be sure to join his group (McKee derm); excellent place to directly interact with a master of Dermpath and learn from him directly. I’m writing a Dermpath survival guide but it won’t be published till next year. Christine Ko has an awesome book that correlates clinical and Dermpath: www.us.elsevierhealth.com/dermatology-visual-recognition-and-case-reviews-9780323375313.html.
