Wow! Absolutely brilliant (great ending!). On top of that… its a proper ‘tear jerker’. I haven’t felt like this since… the lady who almost killed the cutest kitten! (despite cheering her on to hit the button). Thanks for the video.

I love all of Derrens shows but I find it impossible that if you woke up in a hospital, you wouldn't immediately try to rush to find a phone. If that was me I would be doing everything I could instantly to ring my family to find out where they were, just seems so unbelievable at times.

He may have been doing exactly that when the girl appeared, and then the “infected” guy in the looked room. If you keep throwing distractions at a person they get derailed from their initial intention. There was a pretty high calibre of acting throughout this.🖤🇨🇦

You just said in a nut shell that when people don't act the way you THINK you would act that it's fake? 🤔 Come on dude, everyone acts differently in different circumstances. I would have done the exact same thing "hearing the repetitive last emergency message"I wouldn't panic, I would gather my thoughts and gather as much information as possible. The phone would be my last effort considering what happened with electronics and PHONES. But that's just me.

Even though Steve is an aspiring actor i don't believe he was a stooge, the fact he is isn't surprising as that's the type of person who would apply to be on one of Darren's shows, could be a stepping stone. That being said couldn't imagine h8m being in anything worthwhile as you've seen he's wooden

I dont know, I have trouble buying that this is not an act. I mean everything was perfectly believable until Derren slightly touched his forehead and whispered sleep and he instantly fell asleep.

He is professional hypnotist. The subject was selected and hypnotized into making future mind states and hypnosis states possible by just saying key words and touching his head. It's entirely possible with highly suggestive subjects notice how he screened thousands to find the perfect subject.

I might say though people may think he is acting. Given the gravity and severity of the danger he's remarkably calm under pressure and doesn't go into bouts of swearing and melt down paralysis from shock as one might do. His thinking and behaviour is remarkably controlled

Of course it’s not real; it’s just entertainment. I don’t know why people seem to work from the assumption that Derrren Brown absolutely cannot be lying when he says it’s not acted. He’s a magician, a professional con artist. Why wouldn’t he lie if it was fake? There’s no law covering this. Even if it’s partially true - as in, this guy is a real random person who has the same name as this man and perhaps this is really his family - I don’t believe he would have ever 100% believed he was in a zombie apocalypse. It’s a liability disaster

It is a result of being startled. In this case, being grabbed from behind, but when Darren does this live and on stage, he will offer a handshake to than yank the hand of the person, startling them. For whatever reason, it seems to be possible to issue the command ‘sleep’ in that brief moment, and it will happen.

I am willing to bet a whole fifty pence (dated Aug. 2023 - before Sterling goes off the rails as it inevitably will under Risky Kodak and his current shower of shafters) that these life lessons didn't stick for very long with ole Slack Steve here. I'll bet that once he found out is was all a cunning ruse, he slid back into his old ways quite rapidly.

Yeah course he did. He was already lazy and hopeless, and then he went and got given essentially a giant National game show to win. I’m sure he went back home, quit his job because he had some money to spend now, spent it, and went back to the same mundane life.
