He was that kid that opposing coaches new his name his offers stat line and entire background but during film called him “number 2” and told the defense that tackling him was “all mental”
Kirkland Wolfe it was more we gotta hold shocka to under 300 and 3 touchdowns if we want to win. If you get there first try to hold on to slow him down for a gang tackle.
@@tyoungyoungt "Alright, so two of you just need to get in his way and hope he'll either trip over you or using you as a speedbump will slow him down enough that the other 9 can tackle him"
It’s so cool seeing a hometown guy do this well. Yulee is such a small town that when he won the Heisman, the entire town went wild. They painted a mural of him at the high school. He’s on a plaque when you enter town. Everyone is so proud of everything he’s done.
My home town is yulee too I remember going to all his football games so cool to know that a Heisman winner that’s now in the nfl from such a small town
Man if he was just a regular black man y'all wouldn't give a fuck about him! Matter of fact probably call the police on for walking or some shit! Only reason ya'll care about him is because he's a star ball player. FOH!!!
How quick was this coaches meetings on Sundays getting ready for the game next friday? Coach: Okay guys here's what we're going to do...Hand it off to Henry. See ya Monday.
Now imagine if the coach didn't do that. Some coaches really are that stupid. The Seahawks did not hand it off to Lynch and the Falcons did not hand it off to Freeman when the game was on the line. We all saw it.
@@JohnDoe-pq8yw there was a local high school player, not big but super fast. Coach let him run all over the field until team was in the red zone. Stupid 4 passes turn over on downs
Aidan I can’t remember if we ever even reach the state level. He was our only major player. The team was built around him. But we did get to play on ESPNU and do some cool games.
After all these years. A Heisman trophy. A top 10 NFL RB right now. This is still hilarious. Looks like you took an NFL player and dropped him off to play in a jr high game.
@@seheadhunter50 Wouldn't say fully clueless. Dude is a fucking freak athlete. Did you see him and Watt standing next to each other at the end of the game? Same fuckin size. Ridiculous. Guy is as close to literal as you can get to being a DE put at running back.
Funny thing is, you can tell when a player is scared to tackle. They make it look like they're putting forth effort, but they really don't want none. 😂
Imagine being 16 years old, first year on varsity on your very first snap playing linebacker, and you meet this beast Henry in the hole coming at you full speed lol... no thank you sir!
I'm a long time Titans fan and I saw him live his rookie year and made Ramsey look like one of these HS players. The dude is huge! But watching this I can see how much better of a RB he is today. We are witnessing HOF level play these last few season here folks.
Derrick Henry, Earl Campbell, and Marcus Dupree might be the only HS players I've seen that probably could have came into the league straight out of high school.
The most exciting thing in the NFL is when Derrick Henry opens the throttle. It’s also what DBs have nightmares about. Amazing to watch a man that huge move the way he can. Light as a feather on his feet, and strong as a rhino.
I remember the first time I seen Henry. Right after he committed to Bama, my local news station live broadcasted his high school's game vs whatever high-school Kelvin Taylor went to (Kelvin was the #1 rb recruit, Henry was the #2 rb recruit). Needless to say, it was a complete slaughter. Henry ran all over them boys. I don't remember what the final score was but it wasn't even remotely competitive.
Like a man against boys. Henry was bigger than most of the linemen in high school. He also had great agility and deceptive speed. He was pretty much unstoppable at that level.
Crazy thing is he's still doing this at the NFL level. Shows you how much he works at every level of the sport and nothing is guaranteed because there's thousands of high schoolers with dominant reels like this... Few make an impact in college and then the pros.
Reggie bush went to my local high school, Helix and I remember watching him as a kid. His high school career looked almost identical to this, just a little less trucking and more speed. Takes me back! Henry is still beasting though
I had the pleasure of seeing Marion "the Barbarian" Barber III in high school. Not only was he a great running back, but a great defensive back as well. Derrick Henry reminds me a lot of his running style.
1:32 these kids on the same team are wearing different color helmets from one another. One has a blue helmet one has a black helmet and one looks like a gold helmet 😂
In high school he is the original Beast Mode then Lynch brought the term to life then Henry went to college, Beast Mode 2.0 Now after 2k and my MVP he is Beast Mode 10.0!!
