One of the most powerful videos what you can find on RU-vid. Derrick represents essentials of playing the drums. Most of othedrummers in their videos are missing the point of drumming and keeping explaining stupid rules, complicated and odd rhythms and usually playing that styles they are like a clog in the sink. I can accept that, but bro ''I can't feel the music!!!!''. No flow in the music, no drinkable of edible summary at the end. Steve Gadd, one of the super-models of grooving will say the same, Buddy Rich also...most of them are groovers and the point of playing drums is keeping rhythm and to let the band know when is beginning, change or end i the song. And it seems most difficult thing to play drums as a drummer! Derrick is a very good teacher for all musicians. Thank you, Derrick.
