You have no idea how happy it makes me that you did all this with a hand drill. Gives me more confidence for installing a scope base on an old Stevens 66b! Good job sir!❤❤❤
I've had my Rock Island TM-22 18" barrel Murica variant for about a month now. I also removed the plastic cap insert in the hand guard, but mine barely moves, maybe 0.5mm of play at best. Probably the fact we don't get the full length hand guard you guys get up north. I was concerned about the single bolt holding it to the "upper receiver" and considered doing the same thing. Good to see you man handled this cleanly with a hand drill.
The groupings on my Derya are legit the same without any of these mods. Its just a decent semi auto in general. CCI Minimag red or yellow, zero failures. If anything you should be modding your bolt stop. That can get pushed into the buffer tube and your bolt handle can smash along the groove and eventually break. Also, 20-30inch lbs hurt my soul. I dont even go past 20inch lbs for my 7.62x39...
Nice job, man!! 👏 😊 Cool rifle also, never heard of this one 😮 looks like a shooter for sure! Did you get snow again? Or was this recorded earlier this year? Thanks for sharing Ryan! 👍 😊
Just got the same one. Anyone else having issues removing the barrel? The nut was jambed right, managed to get it undone, but the barrel wouldn't come out
on a personal level, I won't buy a gun made in turkey. But I'm still glad to see you enjoying it. If you're interested in an absolute gem of a low cost and little known rifle, you should try the Diana R22 Carbon. IMO it's an $800 rifle they're selling for 279 and made by GSG in Germany.
@reginaldoswald You won't buy Derya but you'll buy GSG? Lol Kindly ignoring your opinion as GSG is meme garbage. Plenty of decent Turkish guns. Get off the "turkey doesn't make good guns" train. It's 2024 and that's an old argument.
