After all these years, the chemistry between Brandy and Paolo is still palpable. Their version of Cinderalla is my favorite movie. As a little girl, watching Brandy as Cinderella was magical. Her performance provided hope that young girls who looked like her could do anything the wanted. The casting was also quite perfect. 💙
Remember behind Disney is corruptible. Disney was a free mason if you don't know this. He was in the occult. You will see in one of Disney movies there is an image of a penis. Do your research on Disney.
I am literally crying about how soft and sweet they are with each other. This movie was the first time I had seen a black princess and an asian prince and it was very believable! Can't wait to see them in the new descendants and hopefully they get more than 5 minutes of run time
😂 a Black queen and a white king don't make an Asian prince, so no, it was never believable. But they likely used the explanation of "well there's a fairy godmother, so why follow genetics?"

So I’m saying that the color blind casting for the entire Charming family is so beautiful

I love this for us. Here we have two people that's called undesirable by societys standards and they are giving us the representation that we need I'm so happy about this.
This movie made me see people as people. I didn't see Cinderella as black, or the prince as Asian, or the fact that the prince had a white father and a black mother. Watching this growing up, it never occurred to me of people's color/race. And I have STILL yet to find a movie like this that could pull that off like it did. (Hollywood still tries) Even the new Cinderella with Camilla Cabello (cabillo? Sorry can't spell) doesn't have the same affect for me. That's why this movie will always be my fav Cinderella.
I remember watching their Cinderella movie. I was/am a big fan of them. Brandy’s music and show, and Paolo was in Mortal Kombat. I do hope they get a fair amount of screen time even though this is a Descendants movie first, before a Cinderella sequel. I’m a fan of the Descendent movies too.
While we are at it with Paolo, with Paramount trying to get that King & I remake off the ground, be great if he was cast as the King. He has King & I experience and did the 1996 Bway revival
I 'shipped these two SO HARD when I was a child OMG. This is my favorite version of Cinderella. It was musical, romantic, innocent, and funny. I hope the new one has that same energy 🥰
I’m so happy for them! I haven’t seen that version of Cinderella in forever! This was the Cinderella of my generation. I was 5 when it came out on VHS and now I’m 30. They are the number one reason I’m watching this new Descendants! It won’t be the same without Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos (RIP Cameron) though.
I'm just blown away by the fact that these two are joining Descendants. I wasn't even aware of their interpretation of Cinderella prior to this but now I definitely want to check out the film someday so I can get pumped for their return.

When he says that, Brandy literally changed his life, both of them literally changed mine. I’ve never seen myself as beautiful before. This movie, as a African-American girl growing up in the USA made me love myself. I pray to this day that they somehow get married, not gonna lie lol
This is the best thing that both Disney and Descendants. I like that they made both Brandy and Paolo’s characters as Cinderella and Prince well now King Christopher Charming exists and now have a daughter together.
Literally one of the best movies of my childhood. It also made me feel reflected and seeing a princess that looked like me. And in seeing a very talented cast that That reflected the whole world in terms of different races coming together and making a great film
My all-time FAVORITE Cinderella movie. I'm glad they are doing the next chapter and showing us the future of their on-screen love. And also, I thought Paolo was quite yummy back then. All of my friends were like, he could be my prince charming!! 🤗🤗
Their version of Cinderella is by far one of my favorites. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it, and when he came for her, swoon!!!!!! I want to watch Descendants just to see them in it. I can’t wait.💗
This movie was everything in my childhood. At the time, we just really never had a princess that looked like us, had braids, let alone a fairy Godmother. There was so much said back then about this film and the characters being of different races, but people don't realize with fictional stories, they get interpreted over and over through various people with each new generation to appeal to the times and the people in them. This was definitely a hit and what a lot of my friends in my generation consider, "our" Cinderella movie. I am so glad to see these two reprising their roles. Brandy rocked the look in a Todrick Hall video and I was already so happy she did that, and now this, awesome!
I think Brandy and Paolo are the definition of “Right Person, wrong time” because their chemistry is so good and so perfect that in another life, in another universe, I think they were made for each othet
OMGGGGGG DYING. I still listen to the soundtrack. Paolo was the SEXIEST man alive in that movie. 🥹🥹I loveddddd his voice, so smooth and “Prince-ly”. And brandy was a goddess with BRAIDS?!? Like that was crazy in ‘97. Had this on VHS.
